QUOTE(ben_panced @ Sep 1 2008, 06:00 PM) i was expecting 3.6ghz 24/7 oc but i made a mistake of not researching about the batch number first haha this mistake will not happen again Well, because you are too desperate to first taste the quad core power... trust me you will make a mistake again next time.... Anyway, whats your proc temps on full load? since you have 8 pieces of 12cm fan inside your casing...

QUOTE(ben_panced @ Sep 1 2008, 03:36 PM) with my cpu it seems i cant get to 3.6ghz even if raised the vcore to 1.56v didnt dare to go higher as the cpu and the cpu vrm are very hot at that voltage haih luck is not on my side i guess mine 1st q6600 also like that last time... hardly does 3.4ghz with 1.5v too but then after go get another one that has a VID of 1.3 n can hit 3.6 with just 1.4v

QUOTE(uzairi @ Sep 4 2008, 04:29 PM) At last managed to get it to run at 3.7ghz u shud try intel burn test.i'm quite sure ur temps will shoot up to 80C++. i tried mine on the program. u on few seconds temps already can shoot till maximum . and it fails so easily.normally i use 1.293Vcore to boot at 3.2Ghz.i tried intel burn in test.bios there set 1.33Vcore also can fail the test in less than an hour. i use coretemp for my temperature reading. using prime95 blend test, i get like 58C like dat.using intel burn test, i get ~63C.

Try to play around with the bios and increase the fsb slowly. Try in 10mhz increment and test it using sp2004 x4 if its stable or not.

Yes sp2004 can be used, jus that u need to run 4 instances of it. Remember to change the CPU number so that you are stressing them equally.
