Q6600 Overclock and Temperature

my goodness...after i read some article. i set the HT, NB, SB voltage to 1.24v, 1.5v....i can boot in window but suddenly bsod..stated malfunction detected n sysytem halted.... i reboot again n set to all auto (no oc) then my lan device cannot connect to internet..i using my lappy now....sienzzz....help..

today i bought myself a cm hyper z600....this cpu cooler very big...ngam ngam fit in my cm elite r334....just a little bit gap between psu n hsf...

ok this is havent oc yet....idle temp is 32c.....oc to 2.6ghz using prime95 small fft is 54c...

if your going to be running at a lower kinda ghz like in the range of 3Ghz, try dropping your multi from X9 to X8, there is a tangible increase in performance. of course your fsb will be higher which is a good thing...

Having lower doesnt mean u have higher overclockability coz there's a lot of those with high vid proc that can clock like their lower vid siblings.
3.4ghz on a q6600 is not bad either, so dont worry.

with my cpu it seems i cant get to 3.6ghz even if raised the vcore to 1.56v didnt dare to go higher as the cpu and the cpu vrm are very hot at that voltage haih luck is not on my side i guess This post has been edited by ben_panced: Sep 1 2008, 03:37 PM

G0 would be slightly better in oc iinm because at the same speed they uses less voltage and less heat produced.
Im using G0 btw.
