ur vdroop... shocking.gif
wats ur temp at 3.2 ghz?
mine is around 29C at idle,58C at 100% load.
i set 1.29 at bios, cpuz reads at 1.24 idle and 1.184-1.2V at load(prime95 blend test).
i wanna see how good is ur 12cm xigmatek, i feel like switching to red scorpion also  laugh.gif

not sure if it's vdroop or vdrop... hehehe... still new with these lingo... hehehe..

at 3.2GHz, temps are just nice... idle is around 32~35'c and at load is around 55~57'c

vcore i set to 1.4v la... but in cpuz is 1.242v during load.. the xigmatek is really damn good... hahaha.. changed the fan to Nidec Beta V.. so, highly recomend it.. if with stock fan, load temp is around 56~59'c la... it's good also...

Vdrop is the difference from bios vcore and windows vcore at idle.

Vdroop is the difference from windows vcore at idle and windows vcore at load.

For example:

BIOS set vcore : 1.400v
Windows vcore at idle : 1.360v (so vdrop is 1.400v - 1.360v = 0.040v)
Windows vcore at load : 1.330v (so vdroop is 1.360v - 1.330v = 0.030v)

I have a simple explanation of the vdroop/vdrop "phenomenon" in my C2D/C2Q overclocking guide wink.gif

Note : Remember that software monitoring of voltages are not that accurate....

lower ur multiplier to 8X. from my own experience, i do better wif 8X multiplier than 9x.

hv u tried to pull out 2 piece of ur RAM for OC ??i've seen ppl's comment abt if u put 4 sticks of RAM,it will lower ur OC abit.ur load temp is really scary  blink.gif
maybe different batch batch of Q6600,i only need to set 1.29V at bios for 400X8 setting.btw, ur proc is almost same like kmarc's one judging from the voltage and frequency u get. laugh.gif

Sigh!!!! Multiplier 8 also cannot go...Temp is the issue... Funny thing, my core 1 and core 2 is approx 7 degrees higher than my core 3... what temp do you normally see? Tjunc or Tcase? My T junc anf Tcase a lot of difference approx 9-10 degress diff...

not sure...

me using non-lapped s1283 and it can hit 6x degree c on priming at 3.5ghz in an aircond room sweat.gif

The temp is normal dont worry, my q6600 would reach 70c when primming with sp2004 x4. sweat.gif

cant really know actually... cos even if u do same clock with me but the temp might differ for the same proc...

just keep it under 60c lor....

u didnt compare with the temp b4 lap?

I think it makes sense, one of u have lapped and the other one non lapped.. so that explains the temperature diff.

Other factors might affect the results tho, but ur temp is still acceptable to me. hmm.gif
