Ragnarok Transcendence has now been launched!

This FAQ will be updated over time to help address all questions related to the new service. Please keep in mind that we at the subreddit are NOT affiliated with WarpPortal in any way and can only use the information that they have released publically.

If you have any questions not addressed in this post, or spot an error, please leave a comment in this thread and I will update the post as soon as I can.

What is Ragnarok Transcendence?

Ragnarok Transcendence (RT) is an updated version of Ragnarok Online being offered by WarpPortal, who manages the International Ragnarok Online (iRO) service.

Transcendence is itself a modified version of South Korea's Ragnarok Online: Zero service, an updated version of the Korean Ragnarok Online (kRO). Starting near the beginning with only second jobs available, Zero adds several features to Ragnarok Online, including randomized stat bonuses on equipment drops, updated skill functionality and formulas, enhanced UI, new monsters, and other system changes such as Fever Maps and dailies. Many of the features in Zero were eventually ported over to kRO.

Zero's international offering has been rebranded as Transcendence. Much like how iRO differs from kRO and is not a 1-to-1 conversion, Transcendence is WarpPortal's spin on Zero and will include customized changes only in the international version, but still mainly rely on Zero for the base content. For that reason, this FAQ will be treating Zero and Transcendence as the same type of server.

Are European countries, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau blocked from Transcendence?

Unfortunately, WarpPortal is maintaining their region block, so players from the above listed regions will not be able to access Transcendence.

What are the basic server specs? How is it different from standard Renewal?

   Renewal mechanics

   1x rates

   English language primarily

   99/50 level cap

   2-1 and 2-2 jobs available ONLY. No Transcendent or third jobs.

   MVPs available (based from this list): Orc Hero, Orc Lord, Maya, Osiris, Amon Ra, Dracula, Doppelganger, Pharaoh, Drake, Dark Lord, Hatii

At the moment, the game includes these features that are not currently found in iRO Renewal servers:

   Random option enchant on weapon drops

   Fever Fields System

   Refining Ore Enrichment

WarpPortal also claims they will differ from kRO:Zero in the following ways:

   Modified experience tables

   Elemental weapon drops from monsters

   Unique equipment drops from dungeons

   New achievements and rewards for dungeon completion

   Unique storyline quests

   Increased healing power for Acolytes and Priests

   World drop events

Are the Zero skill rebalances in Transcendence?

So far, no. These are scheduled for a release around April.

   This is for both Transcendence and Renewal. At the beginning of April, we are scheduled to receive the following updates to implement on both Transcendence Sakray and Renewal Sakray:

       First / Second Class Skill Rebalance

       Ninja Skill Rebalance

       Bolt Skill Rebalance

       Advanced Old Glast Heim (Renewal Only)

   Once these updates pass internal testing, we will then schedule them for updating to the live servers. Best guess is late April or early May, but the date is still to be determined.

As of now, all skills are following their Renewal versions, with fixed cast time.

Will expanded, transcendent and/or third job classes come to Transcendence?

Transcendent classes will arrive eventually, as confirmed by VModCinnamon.

Using Zero as a guide, there will likely be no third jobs. This is due to the fact Renewal instances such as Old Glast Heim and Faceworm's Nest have been coming to Zero but rebalanced for the lower level cap and skill sets.

No expanded classes are available. Again, taking Zero as a guide, only Ninja and its upgrades Kagerou and Oboro are around, with the upgrades being capped to the same point as the Transcendent classes. Super Novice, Gunslinger, Tae Kwon and Summoner are not available on Zero.

Are the standard Renewal servers going to be closed in favour of Transcendence?

So far, WarpPortal has not stated that Chaos or Thor will be closing.

How do I find what player is selling / buying an item? Or how do I do a price-check of an item?

In Prontera (146,85), there is a Shopping Board that be used to help locate items in player shops. This can be used for both fast buying and selling as you can open the vendor shop from the board itself. It can also be used for a quick method of price checking commonly found items.

Please note that the Shopping Board is case-sensitive and matches the exact item name. You can check the box to have it perform a partial match instead.

I see classes other than Merchants with an open buying/selling shop! How do I do it?

In the Cash Shop, buy a 10-day Premium, which allows any character to open a buying/selling shop. It is limited to only 4 spaces, unlike Merchant classes, but it will also leave a clone behind for your shop, allowing you to vend and play the character at the same time.

Can I reset my stats and skills?

Players are able to reset their skills for free until Base Level 40. Talk to the Hypnotist NPC at Prontera (146,232).

Beyond that, there is a Cash Shop item to reset skills called the Neuralizer.

There is currently no method of stat reset available in the game.

What random options can I get on my weapon right now?

Options are split into 4 tiers. A tier is determined by what level of monster drops the weapon.
