LG 27GL850 is cheaper, and much closer to 1ms (4ms) than AD27QD (8ms)
with better price and offer similar if not better quality than AD27QD, the obvious choice is to get 27GL850. |

basically nano IPS brings you closer to TN-like response time and able to output very wide color gamut (98% DCI-P3) than normal IPS, but comes with current drawback of having lower contrast ratio than other IPS counterparts.

QUOTE(niaosuan @ Mar 31 2020, 02:47 PM) what's your budget? 27GL850 is 1899. it's currently the best overall monitor.Asus TUF VG27AQ is RM200 cheaper. if you're with tight budget, 1440p 144Hz+ IPS difficult to find d...but can find VA panels, like AOC CQ27G2 that costs about 1300. |

QUOTE(niaosuan @ Mar 31 2020, 10:29 PM) yeap budget around there...Just realized yourself is using 27GL850 HAHA....very informative! thanks bro! ya and I did quite a lot of readings only to choose 27GL850, compared it with monitors like Aorus AD27QD, FI27Q and FI27Q-P (overpriced FI27Q), and other monitors unavailable in malaysia like ViewSonic Elite XG270QGAorus AD27QD and FI27Q both use DP1.2, when they flex about 10-bit colour depth they know they can't hit 10-bit at 144Hz/165Hz, which means that it needs to reduce the refresh rate to 120Hz to use 10-bit. FI27Q-P is the same as FI27Q but with DP1.4, but costs RM600-700 more. 27GL850 already comes with DP1.4 and can immediately support 10-bit in 144Hz. this monitor is the way to go at RM2k price point. (SPOILERS: this is vary units between units, in terms of color accuracy, peak brightness, color temp and more. only open this spoiler section if you're doing professional works such as photo editing, video editing or printing using this monitor, or you are setting up multi-monitor and then found out each display has different color temps and colors themselves, or you're just curious, else don't care) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by lolzcalvin: Apr 3 2020, 10:18 PM |

As I cant wait for it due to MCO.. i gotten myself Acer XB273 UGS. 1440p on 27 inch monitor is the golden ratio, much like 4K on 32 inch monitor. 4K on 27 inch means displaying letters for ants, without scaling. |
