Sure, let meet up sometime during the sem, now I'm at home in georgetown. During sem, anyone want to find me, almost guarantee I'll be in USM all the time, especially weekdays. Heard there's a bus service between the main campus and the transkrian campus, but can't find it, you know anything about it?

everyone at transkrian know abt it,
every morning around 8-9am and after 4-5pm got bus or sometimes van only,
will fetch student back and fort...

Which among the cards i listed above is the best buy for the moment.
All of them should be within RM400, but which is the best performer, leave the price performance ratio behind.

I'm seriously interested in how the Galaxy 8600GT performs as it has the 6 pin pci-e connector, how well does it clock?

Come on guys, help me choose....

anyway, for the rams, still interested. we discuss it in pm...
therea are bus fetch students from transkrian to main campus.
8-9 am and 3-4pm from transkrian to be exact...but dunno where they do stop at main campus...

for @meno, from my humble and noob oppinion if u are into gaming, x1950pro would be the best choice.
8600gt suppose to be on par with 7600gt, just it only got advantage on dx10. if wanna buy dx10 gc, find something better...

edit: just saw u are mentioning about galaxy 8600gt oc with 6pin power connector. the ocability may be close to 8600gts, but still 8600gts clocked higher with 1.0/1.1ns...(800/2000mhz)

Hmm, but even if you say on par with 7600GT, i've seen 8600GT doing pretty well with the new revision drivers.
A humbly overclocker 86gt should be able to do 5k++ on 3dmark06 with a proper rig. I'm just looking for something which will give me at least some smooth and playable frames in CMR Dirt and ProDrive...

oic...why not considering 8600gts?? i think no prob to handle those games...

Those r the more graphical games i play.
I spend a lot of time on FM2008 nowadays.
My Dirt is left there cz i'm not getting nice frames on my 7300GT.

8600Gts is out of my budget range, and it's not really that worth.
Paying RM5xx for the card, i might as well get a 2nd hand 8800GTS, but with either of those means i gotta change my PSU.
I dun think my 400w Acbel will be able to handle an 8600GTS, i only have 18a on my 12v, so means even if i mod a 6pin PCI-E connector for it, it's still not going to be a pretty picture.

i used to it play Lost Planet Dx10 @ max settings and 1024x768 res without lag.
but i cant play crysis on 1024x768 res.
800x600 medium settings and no AA can play lo.. abit lag la... u ask kc.. he try before..
no prob with bioshock max settings....
better dont get 8600 la.. get something better...since thr are cheap de..

My Budget Rm350 only lar...
Cannot even buy half an 8800gt...
If 3850 selling for rm600 then i will buy lar...

Bioshock max setting? on 1024x768? But i wont be gaming more than 1280x960 also. My monitor can go up to 1600x1200, but never tried to go that high as my GC can't go that high, and no point going that high on a 17".

Hmm XFX8600GT Fatality and 8600GT XXX, besides the difference in cooler, what else is different?
I think the clock speed is identical right?

fatal1ty is faster than normal 1.. even faster than xxx and xtreme...

if u oc 1950Pro,it's almost God-L1k3 GC and good performance,and if u wanna get 8600GT,i advice u get 1950.

My PSU dun have 6pin PCI-E, can power up the 1950pro ar?
If cannot powerup, then lagi no need to talk OC lar.Or KC u got any sui sui GC to loan me 1st...hehe...

i no card to borrow u now as my sifu took back teh 7800GTX liao.

btw,i can give u the molex to pcie connector

but do remember,if ur psu has no pcie connector and use convertor,it stress ur psu a lot.
