bst dude posted some benchy for 3870 vs 2900xt,
u can find it in the hardware>3870and 3850 thread>page 14
the performance are on par,
but the temperature
45celcius only after oc the 3870,
even 2900xt temparature are 55celcius...

the heat disipitation from ati is way better than nvidia one,
nvidia gc of 8800series are like fire dragon,
heating up ur entire rig temperature...

HD3850 is tempting to me..i hope some brand go below 700

266 x 9 = 2.4Ghz
400 x 6 = 2.4Ghz

which is faster and why?

yup,it's cool,but 8800GT still perform better than 3870 if u compare it to my review on 8800GT.
look at the score and u'll know,many of them still willing to go for 8800GT since driver,score and price are win 3870.
and do remember,the fan for both card is terrible noisy.


400*6 sure faster la,higher bus speed with higher ram speed if compare both on 1:1

what type of rams u used?? how further u oc ur rams??

Ram coolers, are they really practical, how much extra do you get to OC if u use cooler compared to not using cooler. KC, any answers ar?

i running 2.6vdimm also never use ram cooler
it just make ur air flow gila

u see,the air,so little,unless u use high power fan but it will make noise and one thing,the strong air flow will make ur casign air flow die.

it wont improve the speed at all.

just let u increase ur fsb without skyrocketing ur ram.

Yes, you're right.
Theres no Barton 2100+, only AXP 2100+.
Btw, AXP 2100+ @ 2.1Ghz is not bad d lor...My old 2000+ could not even hit 2.1Ghz.

but why after oc it shows AMD Athlon XP 2800+ @ 2.1Ghz OC
