Yeah, the anxiety once someone in your workplace was confirmed positive was surreal. It's not so much about life/death but rather you'll feel helpless about possibly spreading it to family members and loved ones.

QUOTE(dagnarus @ Mar 28 2020, 10:42 PM) So, all these while you just listen to stories about how Covid-19 affect other peoples' lives. Until one day it comes and knocks on your door. My dad, at 70 operates a GP in the other side of the country. Still going strong despite the age. Being a doctor is not just his profession, it is his passion. Told us all that he will open his clinic until he no longer has the strength to do so. Before the MCO, he was visited by a Tabligh fella. During history taking, the fella revealed that he missed the gathering due to some prior commitments, much to my father's relief. When the MCO was declared, my dad chose to close his clinic as well, also due to him being in the high-risk category. However, today, he just received the news from KKM that the patient was indeed positive. This was due to him keeping in the close company other Tabligh fellas who attended the Ijtima'. Both dad and mum were unwell during the first few days of MCO, but they are OK now, not showing any symptoms. However, KKM insists on him to get screened tomorrow. So here I am, away in KL, unable to do anything but to pray and offer moral support from far through phone calls. Sigh, it sucks, this helplessness. QUOTE(fzrnhkm @ Mar 28 2020, 10:55 PM) I understand. Though yours are more family related, mine is about my girlfriend. guys pls keep us updatedShe works at JPN, and when MCO was announced, she still went to work on the 18th (the first day of implementation). Later at work she found out that her boss tested positive for Covid-19. And she told me that she did work closely with her boss. So, starting from there, she and few of her colleagues were told to undergo self - quarantine at home for 14 days to check for symptoms. Earlier this week, she told me that she developed cough and flu. Of which, I told her to try and take medicine first to relieve of the symptoms mentioned. And I really really hoped that to be the case. Last Thursday, she told me that she will take the covid-19 test at KPJ Damansara on Friday, as her cough did not go away even after 4 days of eating meds. And yesterday, she was confirmed to be positive. We still contact each other every day. And today, she told me that she started to feel her breathing abit 'tersekat - sekat' and taking deep breathes would result in coughing. Please, just pray for her if you have some time to spare. And sorry for the long writing. Just need the place to let it all out. |

The worries is true. Keep them calm, tell them its fine and stay healthy. Few of my staff are also from WUHAN, and also missed going back for CNY this year. Can be said to be luck, but at the same time, sadness because some neighbor of their community, either died one or two, some an entire elder family all say bye bye. One colleague even offer her three storey-tall apartment for government use during quarantine, now it was still in use for oversea expatriates, and has to accept the damage cause by them for no reason. (Aircond destroyed. Water sink jammed. Toilet kong. Balcony full of rubbish. This is so called educated people... what a shame) I've got a house, with courtyard summore in Changsha, in Hunan, below Hubei. But it wasn't use cos of inconvenience. Offer to CCP gov also no take. |

QUOTE(jamilselamat @ Mar 28 2020, 11:31 PM) Stories like this is why I fucking hate the tablighs with a passion right now. Acting all high and mighty when preaching about religion to others, yet when the time comes for them to take responsibility, they ran the fuck away and we have to chase them until they get backed to a corner. got ppl say 100% tabligh tested so it proves that they're responsible? My best wishes and prayers for your parents, TS. But I also forgot.. the ppl who share those posts didnt have the brain cells to comprehend that even if it's 100% of them tested doesn't mean they all came on their own will Oh btw, I also got notified because I was at the area of a positive case. Wish me luck. But im surprised no ktards positive? This post has been edited by arsenwagon: Mar 29 2020, 12:24 AM |

The worst part is u can't be there. Not allow to touch them, hold their hands.
Anyway, it's better to detect early. The treatment will help. Call and talk to them as frequent as possible will definitely help. |
