Marantz MCR series are smaller and better than PM5005.
You may look into MCR511 (wifi+bluetooth), MCR611 (wifi+bluetooth+cd+fm).
it is that good that i own 4 different generation of MCR now and sold away PM 7xxx series amp.
some online shop have bookshelf combo package.

Plan to get one to replace my spoiled Yamaha MCR-750

3. latest model 412 (no network), 612 (google home/siri/alexa) available.

Yamaha sound like flat / natural.

ok mcr611 & mcr510 sound the same on single wire connection, yesterday my listening volume from 12 to 22 out of 60 (max) on monitor audio rx8 floorstanding speaker

i wonder what speaker box do you plan to install with.

Previously I buy Yamaha MCR-750 with blue ray because of the player with classic buttons that easy for my mother operate.
She feel difficult to use button-less system.
However it unable to power on now.
Temporary I plan to use back my Yamaha speaker 1st (previously Yamaha MCR750 speaker).
