The issue is domestic tourism alone cannot sustain the travel industry and make up for the lost in foreign tourist revenue. At the end of the day, regardless of what one choose whether to travel or not is an individual decision but bare in mind there might not be a vaccine or cure so does life stand still?

Been watching too many youtube on Japan food during MCO... hope can make a safe trip there soon..without the need for self quarantine hassle

The way the Health Ministry is talking about tightening borders, it doesn’t seem like they will ever let citizens out to travel doh.gif

When the borders reopen, if they do yeah the hurdle will be quarantine. Doesn’t make sense to have 14 days there and 14 days back quarantining.

For one thing, the Japanese themselves are very discipline and there is certainly a need for tourist dollars given domestic tourism is not enough to substain the industry.

It’s a safe bet to say any travelling to Japan this year is highly unlikely to happen tourism wise.
