Yuzawa had nothing to see or great to eat except ski. If you want to see very very thick snow wall, Yuzawa are one of spot you must see. Just step out from station west exit, instant thick snow wall and heavy snow falling.

From Tokyo to Yuzawa, don't take Shinkansen if you want witness the might incredible snow scenic view.

Nagano got more sightseeing. Snow monkey, kamikochi trail walk (Japan swiss Alps) and Tateyama Alpine Route (March to November)
*
hi bro, for Tateyama Alpine Route. I saw its open from April to November 2022 this year.

If for March, if the route is not open in 2023. What else can we do if we go there?
Possible to see the route from top or something like that?

Thanks in advance for the information sharing

All using Hida beef, taste very similar, any beef sushi will do. The famous one was at Old street "Hida Kotte Ushi".
I been takayama so many times, try once only because taste no big difference from other, even google rating 3.5 also taste very nice. But if you go Takayama only once, then Hida Kotte Ushi will be your insta spot.

If that day Juraku closed. You can try Ginputei 銀風亭 as alternative.

Juraku & Ginputei are my Takayama highest ranking restaurant

ok nice! tq for the info.

going in March.

any other recommendations but for Nagoya?
things that usually tourists dont eat.

Nohi Bus only depart from Takaoka Station & Kanazawa Station to Shirakawa-go. Because going Shirakawa-go will be using E41 highway which is more on Takaoka & Kanazawa side, so no bus will depart from Toyama to Takayama.
*
hi again bro... so sorry so many questions recently.

I am renting a car to drive in Nagoya, would you recommend me to go for Shirakawa-go or Gokayama?

i have read that Gokayama has less tourists, which of course its good with less foot traffic but activity wise looking from japan-guide.com looks like there is less activities or things to do at Gokayama.

Would like to have a more local insight in to this.

Planning to rent a car and drive to Hakone via the Hakone Turnpike. Should I rent a car slightly outside of Tokyo area to avoid the traffic within Tokyo metropolitan area?
*
by all means go ahead to do that if you are not as confident.

but if u collect car in Tokyo and just head straight to Hakone, there is very little stress. You will just navigate very little of Tokyo streets up to the next highway ramp. Stressing part in Tokyo is paying parking, and also the language barrier.

if ur renting a car, highly recommended to get the ETC card as well. u get cheaper rates at toll and also no hassle to pay toll at every intersection. They will usually just insert the card in , then take the card out after ur rental and calculate how much tolls you went through.

if you love driving check out toyota rent a car jp, they have their gr yaris and gr 86 for rental.

Hi all senpai here

I have a question about same day luggage delivery from hotel to hotel (kyoto to tokyo). My partner and I decided to drop by Ghibli Park Aichi before going to Tokyo, carrying luggage with us to a theme park visit is a hassle.

I will be staying at Hotel Lantern Gion Kyoto. I wonder what should I do to do a same day luggage transfer.

Edit: I simply google online Yamato

Macam dont have option for Kyoto to Tokyo for this company. Is there other company that can offer this service?

How do I check whether I can drop the luggage at hotel? Or do i need to drop it at the collection point?
*
usually hotels will be able to handle sending your luggages from hotel to hotel. when u check in, enquire with them if they provide these services.

Yamato, operates Ta-q-bin which covers whole of japan.
If your hotel doesnt handle luggage sending, then u can head to your nearest 7Eleven, they are also Ta-q-bin counters.

Just note if u want same day delivery, u need to usually make sure u send before a certain time. again, do ask the drop off point u gonna drop at

Hi Sifus, any recommend cheap flight to Tokyo this Feb 2025?

Air Macau or Philipine?
*
when u take PAL, make sure the transit time is enough, heard that 2 hours transit is also abit dangerous, cause Manila Airport is super disorganised.

if the difference is like super small, better be safe, fly another airline. save up in thru other methods.

speaking of luggage forwarding, how many days in advanced can i send? like send today but can specify when for it to arrive to the hotel?
*
you can just put a date for it to arrive , i am not sure if they arrive on that specified date or not. confirm early or on the date but wont be later.
if the luggage arrives earlier, Japan hotels usually has a place they will store future guests luggages.

I always use it.

some hotel concierge will do extra work and call ur next hotel to double confirm ur booking and tell them that you will be sending ur luggage over.
of course not every hotel concierge does this.

Thank you for the reply. Appreciate your effort and inputs!

I just checked with the hotel. It’s not available but they told me to use yamato express. Then I proceed to check on Yamato website, it doesn’t show drop off point at Kyoto. But there is indeed yamato express counters nearby the hotel. May I should ask the express counter.
*
you can do that, or u can go to 7-eleven. they are also counters.

lol, my PAL flight is coming in 2 days. yeah some minor flight adjustments, but my return flight was cancelled, had to push next day and overnight at MNL .. uhhh..if only for the price
*
back then after covid, before global open. i think PAL was charging almost only RM 800 for a return ticket. good value!

MNL airport is very dis-organised from what I watch on YT, anyways just go airport early la to be safe!

Have a good flight ! wow u got good timing, U will still be able to catch the cherry blossom at full bloom.

I have taken PAL before when Japan just reopen. Got it RM1500 return.

What I can say is, for the price and the service I got, can't complain, meal was good, seat was standard A321.

But the nightmare is NAIA Terminal 2 itself, it's basically very simple "plane" stop if I may, the terminal is just counter at front, security at side, then back side is waiting hall and gate area with a small lounge, and some small shops that offers near to nothing. T2 is the most basic among all. T1 and T3 is at least what you would expect from an airport, but T3 is newer and directly connect to a lot hotels.

If you only have few hours to transit through, the transit process is very horrible if a lot arrival at same time.

For me, after my KUL-MNL leg I have 16 hours till next morning so I went out so stay a night nearby T3, taxi both way.
*
doesnt help that PAL as the national carrier decides to operate out of the lousiest terminal of them all
