I intend to use the 10 day Tohoku Pass. Arriving at HND at 21:30 on 30/10 and wanna catch the Tohoku shinkansen the next morning from Tokyo station to Shin Aomori station. Is it advisable to buy the pass online now and reserve a seat on the shinkansen? Or just buy the pass and get the reserved ticket at the JR East office at Tokyo station on 31/10 morning?
Even if I buy and reserve online now, I'll have to pick up at the JR East office at Tokyo station cos my flight arrives after the JR East office at HND tutup.
Also if I activate the pass by first use on the shinkansen on 31/10, I should be able to use it for the trip back to Tokyo on 9/11 right? Double checking cos doubting my counting ability now lol

It's much easier to pick up your reserved tickets at the kiosk. English menu is available so its a matter of just following the instructions. Yes, activation for 10 day pass on 31st means it ends 9th. |
