The DC fan in my living area is on 24x7... Never switch off. On all the time.

Makes quite a difference in my electric bill.

Why the heck you want a dc fan?

Fan is not air con.
You can run ac fan at a lower wattage.
In fact it is only rated 82w max.
Even if you run it 24/7 at highest speed, that is 82x24x30x0.4/1000=rm23.61 a month. How much can you save? Rm10?
unlikely to run it at 82W because the highest speed is like a tornado already.
Infact ac fan should be more efficient because you don't have power loss in the inverter.
Not everything needs to be inverted.

true, but for people like me, it is worth it.
the first speed for most fan with remote out there are too fast for me, with DC fan, i can get lower fan speed. somemore more silent operation too.

I bought some off Taobao, about 1/3 the cost, way more powerful than the Panasonic, bi-directional, can be controlled by app and even integrated with your smart apps.

All parts fully replaceable. Only downside is the controls and app are in Chinese with no option for it to be in English.

To me since it is just few hundred ringgit difference from a normal fan, might as well i just get a DC fan. Not that expensive anyway.

National standard 3 blade ceiling fan > all. Used over 15 years no fucuks given to it and still working fine, no slowdown or noise.

I only use fans with remote

Panasonic/kdk 5 blades is about rm400.
Rm660 or 700 is not that far off. Still affordable.

Does dc fan have significant longer life span than ac fan ? or its bout the same.

I got KDK and Khind stand fan before. Both were used to blow away dusty air during room renovation.

Khind died but KDK continues to work till now.
