CPU overheated.

My old Dell L502X had the same symptoms when used the whole day and left it overnight. The laptop shuts itself off and refused to power back up. I stripped it down and found the CPU fan very dirty. Took out the mobo and cleaned the fan and added some WD40 and voila, it is smooth running. Temp never spiked above 60C when running VLC watching 1080P movies.
