Why China don't ban flight from such epidemic country?

Later explode again, blame farther blame mother.

Because they have a lot of empty beds?

In case you don’t know, foreigners who fly to China have to be tested and quarantined and they have to pay for it. Why close the border when you can earn money from existing facilities?

Thought I'd never see the day when this kind of thing happens. I guess that sometimes the most dangerous place can also be the safest place.

China should not be so happy. Their number of case from overseas has been increasing quite a lot the past week even though their domestic cases have reduced significantly.

They are in danger of second wave from outside.

Indeed it was one of the main reasons why we decided it was better to pull our 2 children out of school, leave behind everything and move over to Shanghai last Tuesday.

Here, if you have money to pay then problem = no problem. Malaysia or even in America or Britain, you have money also it might not buy you a ventilator if you need it and if you need a hospital bed.....good luck.

Violence? It is a very real possibility to be a victim of violence if you are an Asian person (yellow skin type) if you go around any American stores. Nope it isn't an isolated incident either. Also happening a lot in Canada.

Quarantine in China? The flight I came on had many who were connecting from elsewhere, clearly many were finding ways and means to get into China. While in flight I spoke to an American couple with 3 children in tow, they had gone back to America when Covid-19 first broke out due to fear then they realized one thing, China at least has a plan to contain and stop the problem. America, Britain and much of Europe on the other hand doesn't have a clue or are mostly ill prepared. Also China has far better experiences in dealing with plagues and pandemics. Also their lockdowns are far better enforced and effectiveness of it is 100% as they seriously don't give a damn or fuck on the economic cost where in America and Britain they are still talking about how much it is going to cost, who gets what money etc.... politicking to the max is still order of the day, in China the job just gets done and it gets done right the first time, no u-turns, backtracks etc.

Another of my colleagues who also was told to move here and arrived a day before us, he is an American with a British wife, they were based in Singapore the last 5 years. They were bringing their parents over, said it was cheaper to pay for the 14 day quarantine cost and if infected get treated in Shanghai than it is to be infected with it anywhere in America and stuck with American type healthcare bills which would very likely be in excess of US$1,000 per day as it turns out most health insurance won't cover Covid-19. In Britain the situation isn't any better, the NHS is overwhelmed and early detection and testing is still being talked and talked about.

Oh by the way, over here in Shanghai the roads are already jam-packed. Realized it took 11 minutes by car to get to a subway station when I could walk it in 3 minutes. Most restaurants have reopened. All supermarkets are fully stocked up and no such thing as anything a shortage off just make sure you have enough money to pay smile.gif

I concur China is much more effective in containing the pandemic. And they succeeded in such a short time. They do it one time n it’s over. Economy is back on track. When they go full lockdown, there were criticisms all over the world. Now those critics looked dumb.

Colleagues from China reported their life is back. Shops r opened. Feel happy for them.

Btw, hope u n ur family r well over ther. Take care
