why you citing article from 2012 targeting Windows Defender for Win8?

Windows defender in win10 don't do this shit anymore.

And if you somehow still use Win8, with Windows defender then just follow the instruction. It is a workaround to fix the their own software that didn't conform to proper operation of core Windows feature.

when i wrote this I already had my own vpn server so I simply ping to the site under VPN, and tested it without vpn and confirmed it work.

but recently I noticed that there is no need to tinker with these anymore (again). I find they dont fuck with IP anymore and simply block at DNS level like before. That means simply enabling DoH will work (at least on my pc, in Digi network).





But I still use full VPN condom in everyday use because this is the only way to bypass any censorship AND keep the IP you visit hidden.

Im showing how to do the right way, accessing blocked content without full force vpn with all its overhead like a noob.
If you are blocked at dns level, bypass dns. If you are actually blocked by ip/dpi like in prc only then you need some sort of tunneling like vpn.

Btw I can afford and currently running private openvpn/softether/wireguard/shadowsocks servers on 7 locations in 6 countries, all running in proper kvm/cloud instances not some openvz/shared ip trash, and that's not including several other backup servers that I can activate any moment's notice within less than minute - to answer your question.
