Helo guys, last year my dad bought hilux revo 2.8. Stock tyre size 265/60/18. So now my dad wanna upgrade using wider tyre 285/60 but still using back stock rims. But problems is i heard wider tyre with stock rims will touching the spring and will rubbing mud cover under. Some suggest using spacer but then some said spacer can cause wheel bearing fast rosak.

So any advice u guys can gv me? So that i can tell my dad how to deal wif it.

285/60/r18 still ok. no issue

but when u go to 286/50/r20 then u will have some minor rubbing problem to the inner wheel arch liner when u do full steering wheel turn

but that's very seldom

Really? Are u sure?
No rim change. My dad want use back stock rims. If really no rubbing and hitting inner arch issue then i should just tell him give it a go. But since now still lockdown i dun think tyre shop open. So i better get any advice from sifu2 here 1st hehe.
