To be frank motocycles are not that expensive. Take ZX-25R for example, at less than RM20k it costs less than some people's DP for a car - conti cars bersepah on the road be it Merc, Audis, VW, Bimmers, etc. I could have bought three of it in cash with the DP I paid for my recent purchase. The fuel cost for motocycle is still cheap despite the higher capacity engine, even when compared to a teeny weeny Myvi. Maintenance? two tires, two sets of calipers.

So when I see these moto people on Grabfood/panda I think that is fine. They have loans to repay, and money is money. I feel pity looking at uncles driving cars to deliver the foods though. Would the fuel be worth it?

ER6N has been something I was eying for, but aku lesen moto pun tak ada. I wouldn't be caught riding a kapcai, will jump to at least a Ninja - for pride. I'm a huge in size. I need a big bike, but apparently I won't be riding for the rest of my life. Not safe, my life's too precious laugh.gif

but the normal 250 bike like ninja 250 already cost rm24k, i think ZX-25R going to at least rm30k

I can buy two with my DP then laugh.gif hahaha just kidding. We buy what we can afford and based on our needs as well as capabilities ( I can't ride, so itd be stupid for me to buy these bikes)

I damn love looking at big bikes man, i really do. but I can't get myself a license due to time constrains. Or maybe I just lost interest. At 31 my body can't learn new things (Clutching, I'm all steptronic now on the cars).

The feeling of riding big bikes is different from driving.  I'm not talking about speeding or riding recklessly .
I talking about just a normal ride to work for example.  The feeling is totally different.

I know man. I ride bicycle sometimes, and The feeling is there, i bet bikes with their faster speeds would feel much more exhilarating, not to mention the leaning when you take a corner

31 bro. The past is the past. No chance now since im too chickenshit ride

Go ahead and buy new bike. You'll understand parts and accessories are not cheap.

hurm, if we are talking about high-end (performance bikes to.performance car, well of sorts), a 255 tire is RM1300 a piece. Calipers, pads and discs are bigger as well and there are 4 of them. All I am saying is that it can't be more expensive to the car counterpart

QUOTE(terradrive @ Mar 23 2020, 11:06 AM)
maintenance too

car tyre easily lasts 6 times longer
*

didnt know that. Motorcycle tires last for ~6 months a piece? Talking about normal tires, not performance tires. Typical car tires can last 2 to 3 years

You used to sensible and decent fella, and I reckon a fella who doesn't hangout much on /k. How come lately all your posts on /k are bragging about your car and and your capabilities? Lol

Well it's entertaining as it reads. But there goes a decent /k member

It all goes downhill when one is exposed to /k. But I can assure you I am still sensible out of the sub. You are the people around you

laugh.gif better than politeks, racist, chrono comments bro. Grew tired of those things. If I want to be happy with my car that I can't drive for now let me be lah.

Motorcycle is too powerful and only two wheels, so usually you need soft compound tires and they only last like 7000-10000km? One set maybe rm2k?
*

what a short lifespan. Btw when you said too powerful, asnin power to weight ratio correct?

QUOTE(ohman @ Mar 23 2020, 12:07 PM)
i think the economic of scale also dictates that high end bike tyre are more expensive.

hmm.gif

hurm, but if we are going apples to apples, high end car tires should be expensive too, not everyone uses those pilot tiresand what not. Depending on sizes, some car tires are rm4k to 10k a piece
