122bhp....only increase 10bhp than previous generation campro......

MAYBE CPS is just a rebadge of Campro, or rather just a retune of Campro which focus on low to mid range and suffer hi-end power, and doesn't have the sudden surge feel it supposedly had like VTEC?! whistling.gif

Cheaper to run on DVVT which one Beroktua cars? How to compare 1.6 with 1.3 capacity cars? Standard 1 pupil also knows the difference *sigh*

RM70 4AFE 1.6L Manual could do far more than 400km. tongue.gif

It's not Perodua's design. It come froms Toyota/Daihatsu.

Well it is a Perodua's design after modding the front, back and dashboard. tongue.gif Well you also can say Gen2 is not Proton's design too. whistling.gif

Anyway, the spec looks good on Gen2 Sedan.

I guess TCU should be Tranmission Control/Computer Unit. Meanwhile ECU is Engine/Eletronic Control/Computer Unit.

That said, I take it as the Gen2 sedan only have updated TCU (as written on the 'spec'). So no CPS or VIM yet.

Hope all this TCU, ECU or whatever stuff it is will be true. Last time when they release the Campro engine people thought it has the technology similar to VTEC.

You never know whether the TCU or ECU stuff is true since TCU can be embedded into the ECU and TCU is just a software update (or simply just a result of tuning).

WTH, they are still using that asthmatic puny intake snorkel?
there goes 1hp laugh.gif tongue.gif

So the aftermarkets have business to do. tongue.gif

Nice car, but why they put a lighter color on the bottom part of the door panel? That part should put on some darker color that is more 'resistant' to dirt.

kesian those Gen2 owners.. the Persona killed its own brother!
looks nice in dark purple.. pity there's no Manual tranny for the High-Line!

They didn't killed its own brother. It is expected to have new model superceed the old ones. Just that now there's a fight between Persona and New Waja.

QUOTE
the neo uses back almost 100% of the intake system from the Gen2 except for the snorkel tip, where the neo's snorkel is like the current gen2 only much larger and doesn't slope downwards. the old gen2 snorkel (currently referred as large snorkel by various resellers) is about the twice size the current gen2 snorkel, thus the increase of 1HP

I think they reduce the snorkle for a reason - to improve slightly on the low-end torque.

Haven't saw the real car yet, but I just notice they have different interior color scheme for different line.

The one with the black/grey/silver interior look nice, while some having grey/red on the seat fabric and brown/lightblue on the door panel?!

So which is which?

p/s: The color description might be wrong. tongue.gif

jVIPERs2, that's nice. I can say the ugly color scheme should be the low line. Here's another color scheme from The Star video:

Notice the pic in motortrader, the Persona's boot is covered. Unlike Vios which is bare. Good stuff.

People, normal la. Pay 50k expect to have 100k of quality. Pay for sedan, expect spacious as van. Pay for 1.6, expect to get a 1.0 fc.

Pay for 1.6L, but get 2.0L FC and 1.5L power. That's why people complain.

QUOTE
hey..just asking, since everyone here mention that the campro engine dont have enough power in the low rev.
i mean for car noob/ race enthusiast ppl, will we notice the difference?
i'm drivng an iswara sedan, how does it compare with both engine performance in the low rev?
is it noticable? or u need to be a real car enthusiast to notice it?

1.3L vs 1.6L, it is very obvious which one is more torquey and powerful. You have to compare with HR16DE or 3ZZFE or even 4AFE.

Just view it during lunch time, both should be the M-line, one pearl white another grey. Interior feels cheap, just like my feel in Viva but in black color and more spacious.

Rear: height is good; width is so-so Waja is better here; leg room is very good.

Front: normal. Steering abit on the cheap side and, ugly.

Door: feels cheap and empty. Very hard to close and cheap to open. Neo, Savvy and MyVi have better doors.

Exterior: As handsome as Gen2.

Verdict: A car is just a car, nothing special. For a local comparison, Savvy, MyVi and Waja interior are better. Boot space is between Vios & City. Sedan for that price is a good buy. But if you are looking for luxurious feel, seek elsewhere as there is none here.

:sigh: 'was hoping it could be better in terms of luxury.

Anyway, anyone got any shot on the lowest line model? We already could find plenty of M and H line pic already.

p/s: I'm pondering why wouldn't they offer manual for H-line.

Just found out the boot lid has soundproof mat - Proton is being generous..A saloon is still quieter than the hatchback, road noise from the rear tyres can be isolated completely.
Ditto Paul Tan sums it the best!

"Sometimes I don't get people. The Vios is even more sempit but I have never heard of anyone complain about the roofline of a Vios.

But when Proton's roof is low abit... all sorts of complaints come out."
*
Paul Tan is just an automobile news-collector reporter. Gen2 roof isn't straight and at the very back of it the headroom is being reduced alot by its shape - Vios rear roofline is better than Gen2. Vios lack legroom and many already complained about it.

Anyway since Persona fixed this, the headroom space now is quite remarkable.

The thing is, whenever those who drive imported cars have problem... they don't hu-ha-hu-ha here and there, just keep to themselve. Malu if ppl know, buy so expensive import car also got problem.

If Proton, got very little problem like rim not nice (which is not a problem) also want to complain and tell to everyone. Even those who don't drive one also busy body.

Typical 3rd world country mentality

Those that drive imported cars usually employ someone to take care of the car. They know jackshit about the problems and they don't have time to care about it. Hence no words from them.

Those that drive car less than 150k are usually the driver themselves - they get 1st hand feedback and they need to take leaves to solve car's problems. And if the driver are surrounded by similar salary level people, those people would take note of it and spread out. That's because these people could only buy these range of cars. Who would want to buy a problematic car? Every 2 week take a day leave for car repair?! I would love to buy the cheapest car in town if all bosses in Malaysia allow us to take random leave just for car repair.

Anyway, B line pic anyone??? unsure.gif

Why is it so ugly compare to the M and H line I saw?! Exterior sure looks similar. I don't need another exterior shot.
