It looks quite nice, and its price is cheap(dun compare with wut u can actually get..u know..without all those heavy taxes..). If its quality is good, unlike other Protons then why not?

QUOTE(peYno @ Aug 12 2007, 06:28 PM) do u know, y Japanese allow Toyota and honda at Rayong Thai to assemble Hi end Camry/accord, and let UMW assemble only the low end camry/accord?? Err. I totally agree with u.becoz they trust thai workers more than UMW/Honda melaka staff.. look at our electronic industry .. now they(japs) are shifting their operation to Thailand/vietnam as well... nothing to do w/gorv policy.. Just admit.. Japs love Thai ppl (competitive, good worker attitude and skillful) |

QUOTE(mockv1per @ Aug 15 2007, 09:31 PM) they have extra stock of gen2 rear lights so they just trying to clear up old stock before they can design a new one.. they order in bulk which is cheaper. The way they name their car is really crap. Obviously this a sedan version of Gen2. N u cant compare with Accord,Camry,C-Class. Malaysian car maker dun have car "family" or "series". Although this car is the "new" Wira, they wont call it wira.Proton Persona = Proton Wira outside malaysia.. it is indeed a Wira replacement. so it is not wrong for them to use that name.. just like Accord etc.. |

With CPS/VIM = More power = Higher FC is acceptable.
BUT.. With CPS/VIM = NO power = Jerky gearbox = Higher FC is NOT acceptable. |

U guys are really smart.
I know we cant do anything bout the tax because we are FCKED. But at least we should expect a car which quality is at equivalent to what we can get without all those heavy taxes. N they should offer us that. |

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Aug 18 2007, 03:10 PM) well, in the past, Gen2 performance kakis (Gen2club) did complaint about the battery location. Since when Proton listen to their customer dude? Maybe once in a while in the Neo case u stated above? I still remember Wira's famous rear bumper problem that require Wira owners to drill n fix two screws on the side of their bumper so that the gap between the bumper and the body panel wont become wider.such "problem" was rectified in the Neo. and seeing that persona is launched one year after the neo, they should've taken some good stuff from the neo and added it into the persona, like how they arrange things in the engine bay. the engine bay of the persona is spacious, sadly, they could've done better in locating the components in a less cluttered manner. |
