What application are you using to read the temperature? And is it at stock voltage?

Again, application reading of vcore is inaccurate. Since you're using the P35-DS3, you can try to use the easytune5, which also shows the vcore. For mine, I set 1.425v in BIOS but shows as 1.39v in easytune5.....

i cant change the voltage so i just put auto doh.gif doh.gif

using it easytune5... core temperature still 60c~64c

n the voltage hmm... 1.34

Errrr.... I'm staying in Kuching so the ambient is like 28-30'c. The core temperature is based on Easytune5's readings.

The problem with the E6x50 series CPUs is that the correct core temperature is not really known. I had opened a thread on this : http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/496060. However, up to now, I don't really know whether this is my true CPU temperature. Intel is not telling and even 3rd party software authors don't really know. The author of "core temp", like many sources,  suggested adding 15'c to the core temperature but this is based on observations only and not on any concrete proof/information.

Why can't you change the vcore? The P35-DS3 can change the Vcore easily. Make sure you press the Ctrl+F1 when you're in the main bios page, before you go into the M.I.T page.

If easytune5 is already showing 60-64'c, then that's the limit you want to go. In general, the recommendation is to keep the temp below 60'c. You are using stock HSF right?

Ambient temperature is the surrounding temperature e.g. room temperature....

I'm curious, just download core temp version 0.95.4, and see what is your temperature. Don't get shocked if it is higher than that as the author has set the Tjunction to 100'c, making all temperature 15'c higher...... The problem is, which one to believe....  rclxub.gif

kk i try

i want... but when i press the manual for voltage... then i press the cpu voltage n raise into like 1.33 it still showing 1.28 at cpuz n easy tune5

hmm tested the Core Temp 0.95.4
