guys , need some opinion. icon_question.gif

i'm using P35-DS3P motherboard , E6400 CPU , 2GB XMS2 DHX Corsair 800MHz C4 ram, zalman 9700LED cooler, FSP 600 watts true power.

i'm currently running at 3.2GHZ without problems, however if i wish to go beyong 3.2GHz exp. 3.4GHZ , 3.5GHz i encounter problems during start up blue screen , auto restart etc ..... but you guys here managed to go beyong 3.5GHZ blink.gif

Using Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
400MHZ X 8 multiplier = 3.2GHZ
my VCORe voltage is : 1.408V
RAM voltage : 2.2v
ram timing : 5-5-5-15
memory ratio 4:5
now RAM running at 1000MHZ
PCI-Express at 100Mhz

now i using system voltage control to AUTO .

advise plsplsps i wan to reach 3.6GHz plsplspspls I abit confuse on increasing voltages here plspsls advise

another question my RAM is meant to be run at timing 4-4-4-12 but the CPU-Z detected 4-4-4-13 is it normal or my ram is faulty ??

advice greatly appreciated nod.gif

try fsb:ram = 1:1, then bump the vcore a bit... until 1.45v.. or dont over 1.5v on aircooling
try to increase vMCH and vFSB by +0.1v.. either let PCI clock at auto or fix it at 100MHz...

check your ram with memtest86+.. google it.. run orthos blend for at least 8hrs to confirm it stability..

-edit-

just realized your E6400 stepping is L2.. like those E4xxx and E2xxx series.. erm.. is your E6400 OEM???

dude i tried your suggestion and i increase the FSB to 425 X 8 = 3.4GHZ TAK JADI ... lol cry.gif loading microsoft then BLUE SCREEN mentioning DUMPING PHYSICAL MEMORY then auto restart... lol any more thoughts??

AND can i set my RAM run above 1000MHZ exp . 1100MHZ++ by setting timing lower then 5-5-5-15 ? prefer Cas 4 lol~~ you may suggest any available timings for my RAM . TY

@Ezonizs
remember that all cpu arent equal.

i'm using the same board and managed to push e6600 to 3.8xGHz before with vCore of 1.75v on AIR LOL. suicide run.

imho, v1.50 is still safe if u wanna test the limit biggrin.gif

kk i'll try lol nvm suicide run then january change Q9450 XD woot..... if i need to chnage to liquid cooling system but DAMMIT i'm using cooler master centurion 5 casing ...... cannot put the pump and Reservoir casing too PACK and my graphic card is 8800GTX used up two slots and plus a soundcard unless i opt for external liquid cooling which is much more expensive T.T cry.gif

1.52vCore for daily usage is too much, not to mention you're on air cooled which is prety high on idle and load (unless you're benching... then ok la)

it's not about vCore only, you have to look at the temp too, for some reason (i don't know for sure), raise the Northbridge voltage might help... icon_idea.gif

ooo during 3Dmark 06 ar dragon fight area my pc hangs ....... then go back to bios set vcore to 1.5V oC to 3.32Ghz then whole com stable ran orthos for 20 minutes stable and 3Dmarks benching stable for continuesly 5 times laugh.gif maybe i shall stick with 3.32Ghz until Q9450 launch after CNY hehe ... last time while i'm using 3.2Ghz 3dmarks 06 was 13.2k using 8800GTS G92 ocied . Now with 3.32Ghz i get 13555 for 3Dmarks 06 woot wat an increasement laugh.gif
