come on bro, how come u only run at 2.8G daily. at least pump to 3Ghz. r u folding 24/7. if not than the 62c only 'kadang-kadang'.
what kind of cooling do u used?
*
maintaining the proc temp to as low as possible... so tat it lives long... juz using Gigabyte G-Power Pro air cooler... nothing tat special... average temp is 56... i not folding or anything wif this rig... more to gaming... maybe wif another rig when my monitor comes... smile.gif

I'm using Abit IP35 Pro wink.gif As for the watercooling, the waterblock is the very old Zalman ZM-WB2, very old swiftech radiator and Eheim 1048 pump sweat.gif All are discontinued products except maybe the Eheim pump. This watercooling set is actually given by one of my friend since he already upgraded to Fuzion block, MCP655 pump and MCP320 radiator (really thanks a lot to him). Still, it performs at least 5C better than Scythe Infinity with dual 3000+RPM fans thumbup.gif I can't really afford myself a watercooling set cry.gif

Will take pictures of my humble watercooling setup and post it later, my camera just ran out of batteries when I need it sweat.gif

Using quad low RPM fans on the radiator, I'm a fan of quiet cooling laugh.gif

@max_87

What is ur processor Batch Code? E6850 proc can reach 4ghz easily even with air cooling. Not to mention that you are using IP35-Pro.

Btw, with 27~28C ambient temp... Full load temp for E6850 @ 3.9ghz shouldnt exceed 50'C under WC. Time to upgrade your WC set. Hehe..

I don't remember. Yes, but most are not Prime95 stable. To me, SuperPI/3DMark/suicide/etc runs don't count tongue.gif

Where did you get your temperature reading? smile.gif If it's from your mainboard's sensor, then it's not comparable to mine sweat.gif My friend's Fuzion/MCR320/MCP655 is around 5C better than this outdated setup, readings from IP35 Pro, same mainboard. So the temperature can still exceed 50C if you are talking about readings from Abit IP35 Pro's sensor.

I couldn't afford a new watercooling set, so no upgrading rolleyes.gif

The temperature is only ok if you ask me smile.gif Since my ambient is 28C. If no aircon then the ambient would be around 30-32C, so the temperature would be around 58C under normal condition. Keep in mind that this are readings from a mainboard sensor, so don't take it too seriously wink.gif

Its depends on which batch your proc. My L720A can prime at 4ghz (1.46vcore).

I think your proc is under those hotter e6850 batch. From what I tested, there is some or I should say most e6850 is cool even under load but some proc like the one I am using now is belongs to hotter ver. 5-10'c higher than those cool ver. That's why, i ask for your batch code.

Mine is L720Axxx, couldn't remember the last three numbers behind. My 4GHz prime screenshot is on the previous page.

my e6850 is also the L720A batch. can only get stable at 4ghz with somewhere 1.5625vcore +- on air and its very hot indeed, somewhere around the 65C mark at full load...

thast why i drop to 3.75ghz for 24/7 using 1.4125vcore that runs much cooler now. observing quite a gap for vcore between 3.8ghz and 4ghz.

Yeah, 1.55v+ is too much for aircoolers, it's totally impossible to keep the temperature under 60C unless you are living somewhere with 1337 ambient temperature laugh.gif

I stick to 3.9GHz @ 1.43v for 24/7 use smile.gif
