E2160
MSI P35 NEO-F
BIG TYPHOON
DUAL 1GBX2 CORSAIR DDR2 667

The maximum i achieve is 2.9Ghz
if i set higher will bluescreen death

22sec 1MB SUPER PI

i found out, it is uneccesary to increase CPU voltage..
using auto voltage to OC 2.9Ghz=stable
using 1.6V OC 2.9 Ghz= stable

using 1.4V-1.6V OC to 3Ghz= not stable
using auto voltage to 3Ghz = not stable

why people nid increase voltage ar?

And i set the timing to 4-4-4-12.. receive the same benchmark.
why wan set timing ar?

@ken
download cpu-z and tell me

For the definition of stepping, this is a good link to read. Find jumpingjacks post in this thread, he defines it superbly

Stock HSF can go quite some speed.I got an E6550 up to 3.29 on stock HSF but i crap out on vcore so 3.22 is as high and temp is max of what i am happy,65.

i believe stock Hsfs can be used <1.40V on the Vcore. Anything above that is suicidal. This is for >65nm processors. Dont count 45nm procs in this equation.
