QUOTE(clawhammer @ Feb 4 2008, 01:59 PM) maranello55, you can just try bit by bit. Normally you can already OC by adding some FSB without having to increase the voltages. ive tried the built-in MARS Instant OC...up to 20% which brings my core speed up to 2.65 GHz....Core temp hovering around 50-52...for both core...I dunno much about OC-ing but logically what i want to achieve is rock solid stability, cool, higher clock without compromising much of the proc lifespan. Possible? Or a simple solution to that is just to upgrade |

Possible? Or a simple solution to that is just to upgrade make it a 1:1 ratio.... FSB MHz same as RAM MHz it should be no problem... and to up your FSB, please do it slowly.... increase 2 to 3 each try until your computer can't boot then restore the highest FSB you has reached... do the same thing to your RAM as well... try to keep the FSB and RAM running at the same frequency (MHz) tune down your FSB to suit your RAM Mhz QUOTE(v1rtual @ Feb 4 2008, 11:08 PM) its not only a reading from the PC probe walao.... -150 !!!!i have tried to check from the bios, it shows -150c instead, why minus?? SUPER COOLING !!! omg la, wad motherboard are u using? maybe motherboard problem? This post has been edited by general_odin: Feb 5 2008, 12:23 AM |

Followed kmarc OC guide....very nice...
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/623648 Now im running a stable 3.0GHz....temp under Prime95 didnt exceed 65c as in 30 minutes stress test, as per recommended by kmarc. I ran 3.2GHz but temp soaring up to 68-70c.... Im on intel factory HSF so abit hesitant to go higher. Going to leave the machine to do 6 hours stability test. ![]() Added on February 10, 2008, 8:28 amPlanning to get some entry level cooling kit for 775 CPU - any recommendation?
