No turning back now, my suggestions:- start your own company now just in case. LLP is not expensive
- save the 40% and build up your buffer. Invest the cash in Wahed Invest or Stashaway, easy to pump money in, takes days to withdraw. Read the finance section of LYN
- don't stop networking/LinkedIn. You need your brand to be known out there in case something happens.
- if the company doesn't provide it, invest in Perkeso/Socso. Roughly RM600 per year for self employed
- spend time training. Lots of free resources out there especially in the IT field
