No noticeable difference for daily usage.. even the 2018 ipad pro is having processing power more than it needs for tablet tasks.. not sure if you wanna do demanding video and image editing.. but even there is difference, it would say just slightly

I used Clip Studio Paint for drawing with a lot of layers, sometimes on my iPad 2018, the app will suddenly close itself. No problem like this so far with the ipad 2020

Sounds like you don’t need an apple pencil if you can wait this long 

Finally, I completed my setup after receiving my Logitech K380 keyboard.

- iPad Pro 12.9” WiFI | 128GB

- Sony SRS-XB30 Bluetooth speaker

Looks like the edge of the case will accidentally lift up the screen protector. I guess most probably tempered glass will not fit with this case. Do you think to go for a normal screen protector like those papar-feel screen protector?

Perhaps you wanna to buy some cheap screen protector to try it out before proceed with more expensive options?

Both has their pros and cons.

Glass:
Pros - Glass has better clarity and smoother surface.
Cons - Thickness, fingerprint magnet,  'writing on glass' feeling, and also screen glare.

'Paperlike' Matte SP:

Pros - Good writing experience with friction, lesser screen glare and finger prints. Also fits with most combos like Magic Keyboard + Coverbuddy.
Cons - Wears out the Pencil's nibs fast, especially rougher surfaces, needs too be replaced if scratched, and also screen clarity might be compromised based on which brand you buy.
