I’ve yet to use it for calling telecon. But glad it works for listening YouTube and media. Many usb-c doesn’t have this 3.5mm anymore and those who had didn’t work. I connected ext HDD so pendrive shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a snap for 100+Mb files but playing through the hub to HDD is twitchy. 
I’m looking at mobile & on the move use more. Desktop use can always get proper KB. I need to get 50-50 between writing & typing times.
- I like the idea 180 fold and use tablet, and then back as cover.
- It’s smaller than standard size by a bit but width same as 11”. Makes sense when on the move. You have very big hands?
- Light and keeps the iPad <1kg combined. It’s still lighter, looks nicer overall than a surface which is pretty high standards (minus the 1-sided track pad and backlit). 
- it’s made of some kind of synthetic “linen” surface, don’t see many reviews mentioned about this but realized it makes a lot of sense as it has to be flexi enough to be pressed into it. It’s not super clicky (like scissors switch la haha) but gets the job done well. Well designed engineering and production. Very well matched for the 11”.
- viewing angle slightly upright but then again have to balance the tilting weight, can’t be too heavy on the top as it’s already top heavy. Don’t think even w the magic you can get the feel of using it on the bed like a MBA haha. 

Edit: if I add Coverbuddy casing, should be able to open w single finger ala laptop! Hahaha evil laugh...

One deal breaker for me on the magic (besides the budget) is the viewing angle. I’m paying rm1k, and still can’t get the viewing angle I want (due to top heavy), I can’t afford that. Don’t mind to get it as full fledge KB even as desktop use since a good KB is rm300-500 already so paying extra rm600-800 for magic makes a bit of sense. Haha

some review claim folio doesn't age well, especially the bottom fabric. not to the extend of deformity, but the fabric being rubbed off.

Haha gives your excuse to upgrade right? Don’t think I would change or upgrade my iPad in the next 3-5 years. Maybe Magic keyboard 2!

TBH, i'll most likely skip magic keyboard solely because of weight. as of now, it's whether i want to invest into the folio or just live without it till a new logitech version launched. based on touch combo, the weight might be just as heavy, but i do have the option to remove ipad cover.

lazada and shoppee have the 12.9 version already for the coverbuddy .. i placed order mine too .. i guess it is perfect to pair with magic keyboard .. for tablet use, i can rely on coverbuddy white put it on as laptop use .. the only thing i am considering is mouse. should i get or not the magic mouse. sicne the touchpad can swipe2 like mouse already .. seems i dont need a mouse on ipad ..

Highly recommend a Bluetooth mouse that comes with those thumb/side buttons bro.

Can remap buttons to app switcher/volume control/screenshot etc. 

U already have magic keyboard. I dont need you need another mouse ya.

any recommendation of bluetooth mouse? how do i remap button? volume control seems important as the magic keyboard does not have function keys.

I’m using Logitech’s m590. What I would recommend you do before you buy is find a normal wired mouse
and try use with your iPad. Switch off natural scrolling and pointer animation. Remap option can be found under
accessibility > pointer > assistive settings. Have fun!

Wah... i am eying on m590 too... the thumb buttons, i can set as vol up/down right?

Im owing m337 for my laptop. Tried pair wirh ipad now after read your post about custom buttons.

Yup can set vol up and down. Middle scroll click can set as app switcher
It’s under general > trackpad & mouse

Also pro tip, while in app switcher you can scroll down on any app to close them
