Why are the app seems not compatible with iPad ? Eg, IG the screen is soooo small....

Those are iPhone app that are not optimized for iPad.. that’s why the resolution are so small.

Can’t do anything if developer no support.

Even Instagram also not optimized

Haih what’s the point in getting iPad then...
*
Well safari on iPad is amazing. Browsing at website is joy because of iPadOS 13 desktop browser

YouTube is 4K support on iPadOS 14 beta. Honestly I never watch YouTube on iPhone unless necessary after iPad.

Photos is better on iPad.

Typing on plenty of g suite and bought GoodNotes for Apple Pencil (journal)

Just to name a few stock/google app.

Plenty of creative apps if you’re into that thing.

What’s the best free app that u guys could recommend?
*
Besides above mention, Remote Play for PS4 and Steam Link for PC. PS app for browsing new games.

Google Play Books, Yelp, speed test, (insert your social media), Flipboard, Reddit.

Pretty much everything I use my iPad for.

For anyone who still wondering which iPad to buy

1) IPad Air 4 basically does everything you need except 120hz which i really cant tell the difference. For a cheaper price.

2) Magic Keyboard is a must have accessories because it changes everything. It changes how you use portably. Technically it can replace a laptop. Before I get the Magic Keyboard, I use Logitech K380 keyboard and Pebble mouse. But it is not portable for work, mostly use tablet mode. After MK, I use it in laptop mode more.

My work use case,
1) Excel / Free Apple Numbers
2) Jump Desktop (remote pc) for Windows 10 accounting software
3) Plenty of creative apps for marketing purpose

Personal
1) PC remote gaming
2) PS4 Remote gaming
3) Dekstop web browser using Safari
4) YouTube and other apps like Discord
5) Social media and messenger

4G is a must for worse case scenario (barely touched my Digi 100GB quota) because mostly connected to Home WiFi or Work WiFi. Covid, go figure.

I think the K380 is also portable but of course not as convenient, functional and professional like MK.

How do you feel about the K380 itself without comparing to MK? Thanks in advance.

It’s a very good keyboard with good built quality. You gotta touch the keyboard to feels the materials and weight.

Got three buttons to easily switch between 3 pre-set devices.

The layout is bigger than MK which easier to adjust coming from normal keyboard.

K380 still fits in my sling bag, which makes it portable too. (Don’t want to compare but then u have to bring a mouse/trackpad, a stand and need a good amount of space to lay them out)

On and off switch but it has built in sleep mode. Which is helpful if sometimes you forgot to turn it off.

Don’t be overwhelm by the round shape keys because it still easy to type but definitely have to get used to at first.

Removable batteries for long term use. Two years of advertise life i think?

Overall its solid. When iPad Pro launch a lot youtubers feature k380 and pebble mouse for its portability. Hence i bought them.

I bought ipad pro thinking of substituting it with a laptop.  But, i find out it is not as user friendly as a laptop.

1.  I use words quite a bit and synology.  Realised i can never open a file from words.  need to use synology own app which isnt universal at all.

2.  i then use words + dropbox.  but the file cannot be "saved" on the dropbox directly.  Need to either "replace" or save it on my ipad which i cannot retrieve thereafter.

any sifu can guide me?

i feel like my pad pro is a trash.  regretted much. T.T

1) Replace most probably means the file name is the same, you should always rename the files so it wont “replace” the older files while saving. If so then you cannot find the older files.

2)Always have the Files app on your Right most Dock. So you can go to the Files (app)> On my IPad (or iCloud depending on u)> Right Click on the file and select Share (to Dropbox)

3)Configure your Dropbox app on you Share menu to favourites (so it can be the 1st for easy access). By going to the most right in share menu, select (...) and add favorites.

A very good read to those who is considering to get the latest ipad air or the ipad pro 2018/2020. It is different in my case. I used to have the 11pro and MK and I thought they could replace my mac but they couldn't. My work uses MS word, excel, pp, and adobe acrobat most of the time but ipad os is not as friendly as mac os, at least to me and my work. On ipad os i feel i work slower than mac, made me feel less efficient. Now that i replaced the combo with a larger 12.9 without MK and use it as my secondary display with my mac.
I'm using the 61W macbook charger adapter with a cheap USB-C to C 1.2m cable bought from ninjaz to charge both my macbook and ipad at home. No issue whatsoever.
Feel bad for u. Always practice COD and make sure all ID are signed out before making payment. As of now, your ipad is as good as spare parts only.
I was in the same shoe as u last time but I was using MS one drive and google drive. IIRC, file can be saved directly onto file -> onedrive folder. Give it a try.

I admit, the workflow is a little different. And if you depend on certain desktop app for heavy use, you probably need a traditional laptop more.

I’m just casual user, when i need certain desktop apps, i can access them via Jump desktop.

Its not like Apple selling IPad Only. There are situation where we need a real laptop and so buy depending on your use case.

PLUS, MacBook Air 256GB RM4399 + iPad Air 4 64GB RM2599 = RM 7K is better option for some people. No need buy MK.

Rather than starting IPad Pro 256GB Cellular RM4599 + MK Rm1349 = RM6k my current option haven’t add Apple Pencil and all other accessories like mouse, keyboard, and stand and an apple folio case before MK was released. 128GB doesnt cut if that’s your only device.

I cant tell if the rumor new IPad Pro 2nd launch 2020 with A14(X) will be better.

If anyone think about storage option, Apple One gives 50GB icloud and AirDrop is very easy to transfer files between apple ecosystem. Backup ipad> MacBook Air>external hard disk USB C.

Is it still worth to buy iPad 11 2020 now? If next release is on March 2021, how soon can we buy? In May?
*
In my opinion it’s not worth buying iPad Pro now. I kinda regret bought iPad Pro coz iPad Air is much cheaper. But that’s another story. The most important question is do you need it now? And since u undecided, u probably want it more than need it.

Especially 5G model would be better next year. Or you want to change again once when 5G launch in Malaysia by the end of 2021. (Ignore me if you only want WiFi model.)

iPhone 12 is available one month after US launch and Pro Max the same day as US launch. I think covid has affect sales ( my personal opinion) so there are more stock, available to us faster.

Kinda confused between ipad air 4 and ipad pro. Consider to take 256gb variant on ipad air 4. The price gap between air and pro is around RM200 only.. Why the price different between 64gb and 256gb variant on ipad air 4 too wide? The difference is only storage right. 64gb seem too little. 128gb is the sweet spot to me.
*
Then get the iPad Pro 128GB is more worth it with extra features.

I use iPad Pro as my main computer, so 128GB ain’t cut it. If iPad Air + 4G is RM3,800, then iPad Pro 11 + 4G inch is RM 4,600. The difference could get Apple Pencil or magic keyboard. The thing is, iPad Pro goes way more expensive with 12.9 inch.

If you surf reddit, almost everyone say Apple is up selling you, meaning, every feature/storage upgrade is just few hundred away. At the end, you buy something that is not fully utilize or way beyond your budget.

Like for instance, you started at affordable IPhone SE, then just few hundred away is IPhone XR. You think why not iPhone 11 which is just a little more expensive. Then u look at iPhone 12 its just few hundred away from iPhone 11. Why not get the latest and greatest? bangwall.gif

But honestly, it depend on preferences, I much prefer FaceID now.

I’m just saying iPad Pro refresh is just few months away. So if you could wait, its cool. Sure regret if buy 3 months in, new model come out.
