QUOTE(sai86 @ Aug 16 2020, 01:53 PM) software optimization and OS update. During recent product launching, samsung promised longer software support for this current devices. At least 3 android generation I think. That means at least more than 3 years.. Apple also starts to kill their devices after around 4-5 years. So not much different I thinkone thing i don't like bout android, is its rarely get continuous update for a longer period of time comparing to iOS. unless, you just want to gun for the hardware side. |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Aug 16 2020, 09:33 PM) I’m actually looking forward for Tab S7+ release. Wanna try it out once available. Apple really need to do something like samsung dex to maximize it as a productivity tool. That is what really attract me to samsung tab 7 now.. it looks like it could really be a laptop alternative..If able to get rid current ipad with minimum losses, not hesitate to switch. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 28 2020, 11:34 PM) Here you go, I just redownload the Antutu and re-benchmark. Ipad pro indeed is a very powerful device. Even the previous gen still running today without ever hiccup.. overwhelming power under the hood, more than what it needs for its usage.. except those who deal with super demanding media content and rendering, but you better off with a proper computer then. The current ipad need no more power to stay relevant for at least next 3 years.. i wonder what else apple would do in the next gen.. almost feel it doesn’t need to be another new model unless with major design changes. They just need to keep improving the software especially for productivitiesiPhone Pro (4th generation) v/s iPhone Pro (3rd generation) 754407 v/s 699202 ![]() |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Aug 29 2020, 01:21 PM) Off course, it is using latest CPU with extra one core for GPU. Not latest CPU, same CPU model but just optimized. HahaNo surprise here, if running slower then need to be surprise. ![]() Yup agree, and battery consumption as well.I notice this iPad Pro battery is not that last longer compare with my previous iPad Air 2. Haha! I forgot to test whether it can run 8K HDR video or not. I got one 8K HDR documentary where none of my device can playback in proper, include LG C9 TV, Apple TV 4K and also my few years ago iCore7 laptop. Haha! If this iPad also cannot play, means they is still enhancement of CPU and GPU. Haha! If dedicated media player like tv can’t play, even laptop can’t, i think it makes sense too if ipad can’t. Seems like the media is just too heavy for todays devices This post has been edited by un_id: Aug 30 2020, 10:42 AM |

QUOTE(akaneikegami @ Oct 14 2020, 09:22 AM) Defeat the purpose for mobile tablet imo. Its good for desk use only. But can’t justify the price tag. Hence i did not get one. Logitech keyboard get the job done, have one at office and home |

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Oct 14 2020, 09:40 AM) U mean the logitech keyboard? I just buy the common logitech bluetooth keyboard that costs less than 200 each, bought 2 unit, place one at office, one at home. So whenever i need to do serious typing, the keyboard is there. You coukd buy 5 keyboards with the price of 1 apple magic keyboard, so there is not need to bring keybpard around. Lol |

Demo unit at shop were practically charged and screen on most of times, molested by customers. I would go for personal used unit |

QUOTE(Jazlilong @ Oct 16 2020, 12:19 PM) Need advice. Should i get the ipad air when it releases with student discount for RM2399 or the 2018 ipad pro 12.9 for RM3450 new? The 2018 ipad pro still buttery smooth nowadays. Can't say it old, because it looks similar, and performs similarly well.. The ipad pro line up is still having too much power under the hood than what we normally need to do with them. I bet they will stay relevant until 2025.. i wpuld get the ipad pro than ipad air anytime, unless you like the ipad air color and really need the cheapest ipad airis the 2018 too old? I was thinking of reselling my ipad air when the new pro comes out. I am going to use it to take notes at university. does 120 hz make a diff with 60 hz? QUOTE(J.alexander @ Oct 29 2020, 05:22 PM) Yeah was surveying for USB C hub and cables and Ugreen looks with good reviews and reliable brand so it might not be exactly caused by their product. It just so happen coincidently. Don't think a cable can ruin your ipad. It is merely a "pipe" to channel current, it does nothing if there is nothing at both end. So it must be the charger or the ipad itself. I've been using several cables i just bought from local stores, not sure what brand, they are just okThanks, but glad to hear another good user. Might not be the cable and I heard there’s some w battery issues too. I’m sure after checking by Apple they verified it warranted replacement. Wasted my expensive screen protector though This post has been edited by un_id: Oct 29 2020, 09:55 PM J.alexander liked this post

QUOTE(J.alexander @ Oct 30 2020, 10:40 PM) Anyone here uses charging brick other than Apple’s and higher wattage? Any concerns about it? Why concern? Now that apple stop shipping power brick with its device, it means they allow you to use any available power brick out there, which is in contrast from last time they said die2 must use original apple ppwer brick Am thinking of using just one for ipad and iphone which might be higher than either one. But at least look for a reputable brand la, that has power safety. But high watt charger usually made by reputable brand anyway, unlike those cheap power brick in pasar malam.. i'm using aukey charger for few years already, all good, i won't hesitate to recommend it |
