Another Nijika firmware, change the way it handle VLAN from PPTP and VEIP,

user posted image

the Auto mode is bridge all unque VLAN from PPTP and VEIP, if found same VLAN on both, ignored:

this should resolve VoIP issue, so far tested on Nokia OLT
and TM Eng. kind of okay of this ME 84, 171 hack

In case of customer has more TEL line, likely VoIP have exist on both, this time use PPTP only bridge

this change on Revision 240410 Nijika

Hello Anime,
i got the device already and setup my Unifi 2Gbps. (im the guy who bought the device recently from you through the Carous App in Sepang)

I manage to not use any additional switch for VLAN(before i use the TP-Link smart switch). I direct add vlan ID : 500 to the 2.5Gbps ONU/Fiber converter device on manual bridge mode and it works while dialing PPoE from my old Xiaomi AX6000.

Nice no more additional switches. 👍🏻

It's just that,
i am not able to break the 1Gbps barrier. Highest on Speedtest.net is 940Mbps Up n Down through cat8 cable.

The WAN port on the Xiaomi AX6000(router) is 2.5Gbps
While the LAN ports is 1Gbps

Wonder why i can't break the 1Gbps still. Or not even achieving 1Gbps(best is 940Mbps down and up)
SFP PON already on 2.5Gbps from the light indicator on the 2.5Gbps ONU/Fiber converter.

If your router only supports gigabit, the converter will automatically negotiate gigabit, not 2.5G, your end to end both has to support 2.5, if one doesn’t, it will fallback to the next lower tier after skipping 2.5
*
ISP 2Gbps > 2.5 Gbps ONU/Fibre Converter > 2.5Gbps WAN port (Xiaomi AX6000) > 1Gbps LAN port

end result is best through Cat8 cable is 940Mbps Down and Up.

Is this normal for the 1Gbps speed to not 'achieve' 1Gbps?

Yes, due to transport overheads. Usually Gigabit Ethernet only reach up to 940mbps during speed testing...

Yes, as mentioned above, TCP/IP overhead, 60mbps~ is always reserved for extra metadata for the connection
*
i see,
guess it's time to upgrade to those 2.5Gbps/10Gbps ports.

A good reason/excuse for me to go for those new Wifi 7 routers. ✅

If you’re not an enterprise user, consider getting the BE800 and make an AIO with that using the SFP+ ONU

If you’re upgrading, might as well just cut out more things to reduce the point of failure

i was thinking to go the AIO route yes. I'm liking that idea with using fiber SFP port with the TP BE800.

But from my conversation with Anime, he said need to use Beta firmware,

- As in not stable yet?

Anyway has anyone tested the Xiaomi BE 10000, everything seemed to be 10Gbps for that Router. Cheaper as well.

Just not fond with the Chinese UI as it is not my native language (been using my Xiaomi AX6000 currently)

TP-Link Malaysia told me BE800 is EoL, there no stable 2.5G SFP yet, they suggest use BE805 or wait newer BE800 series...

Also, to get >1Gbps, from Router to PC must 2.5GbE, more is better

Thanks for the heads up anime-san 👍🏻

Yesterday liaison TM R&D called me about use of PON Stick.

I have request to white list my PON Stick by detecting my custom ME 256 entry,

They said, there are 8 OLT Vendor for TM in whole Malaysia, so far Alcatel/Nokia and Huawei no problem to add my PON Stick, but not sure about other Vendor might not in same agreement.

so, they still can't white list, but usage of PON Stick is allowed as long configure it correctly,

not sure about other vendor might block error ONT (banned for ~4 hours):
user posted image

this ban still depend on vendor, who want have clean records, ignore Rouge ONT/Error ONT so not uploaded to TM log server

still, got people DIY doing those error, so, I not responsible who DIY sweat.gif

TM R&D saw rise of PON Stick among 2Gbps customer on their Command Centre hmm.gif

It all boils down back to why pay 2Gbps if not true 2Gbps.

People will go:
“Since i pay so much for a 2Gbps in Malaysia, might as well maximise it eyh?”

Thus the journey of some users finding a solution for a true 2Gbps connection.
One of it is through abg Anime4000 heheh thumbup.gif

Hello Anime4000
Ive messaged you on Carousel the other day regarding my 3 storey shop/school.
Currently using crappy skyworth onu/router combo from TM.

im just curious are there :
any routers that support all-in-one solution with SFP+ sticks inserted (on sfp port) without needing a seperate ONU modem/fiber to rj45 converters?
At home im using the TPLink Archer GE800 (it has an SFP+ 10GBe port)I wonder if this works?

as my partner are concerned with the aesthetic looks - dont want messy2 serabai cables here and there. As the fibre cable is at the G Floor.

Currently,
have the Tp Link DECO BE-65 - 3x in mesh, still yet to hookup as still considering whether separate modem+sfp stick are the only option for that.

already got your combo for my own house years back anyway.
