How is it Maxis and TIME?
I really want to play with these gpon stick but unfortunately do not have the equipment.
Home Networking Ditch ONU, use GPON SFP on Business Grade Router, 2.5G ONU for Unifi & Maxis, NO NEED VLAN

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ May 6 2022, 08:18 PM) lwk523 have tried with Allo Fiber (1Gbps plan) I thought Allo doesn't provide public IP. Or only city broadband doesn't.just copy stock ONU OMCI info to MA5671a SFP get O5, Public IPv4 get via DHCP (no PPPoE, no VLAN) [attachmentid=11145701] [attachmentid=11145702] [attachmentid=11145703] [attachmentid=11145704] Note: This Allo Speedtest done via Wi-Fi 6 2×2 MIMO 160MHz (2.4Gbps Link) I guess as long enter original ONU OMCI Info into xPON ONU SFP Stick will work! There is 2 xPON ONU SFP Stick work 1. ODI DFP-34X-2C2 (Blue/UPC) 2. TWCGPON657 (Blue/UPC) 3. Huawei MA5671a (Green/APC) TM using UPC Allo & TIME use APC mix match UPC APC need converter |

QUOTE(Anime4000 @ Dec 4 2023, 12:46 PM) This I have asked, between TM and other ISP, they agree 80% of expected speed For my experience, I still get 10% extra speed when I was on Maxis. I transferred from Unifi to Maxis, don't know if that's why I got 10% extra. Or just because of my area.and TM not plan to give any extra speed to non-Unifi. This might change when non-Unifi stuck at GPON meanwhile Unifi move to faster PON |

QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Jul 10 2024, 12:12 AM) my comment is most consumer routers come with what, 256/512mb ram Even running adguard on rpi3b+ with 1gb ram is rough when you have a big list to update. It’ll start to kill process when the ram is used up.and they can handle downloading tasks just fine note, downloading on your client devices, not using the router as a downloader as for adguard... 128mb might be rough? consider running it on something else like a raspberry pi instea do cosnider also x86 router boxes running pfsense/opnsense, those have lots of ram and storage and also cpu power to play with |
