Here is a gentle reminder for new Z fold 2 owners in case some are not aware:

Urban Republic called me on purpose to go redeem the inner screen crack protection in Samsung Members app as it's not the same as the one year warranty given to the phone. So in case some of you are notified, just go to the app and find the banner with the folding phones and do the redemption. 

Ignore this if you already done it, may be can pin it if many are not aware.

I thought EPP is for corporate user and they won't be out of stock anytime soon? Even S20Ultra, Note20Ultra, Tab S7+ still have stock. Tab S7 is quite cheap at only RM2600++ only.

From my side I can see the EPP price for N20U is RM4,129.20...20% off. Samsung staff or higher level EPP might be even more... Normally EPP quota can take 1 set only.

I called in about the screen replacement and they said its because the screen costs more than RM2K to replace, so that RM650 is a reduced rate. Definitely not a free one-off replacement. Probably coz in the case of the first Fold the case incident was free as it was much more critical than Fold 2.

I've also checked if an extended warranty would help. You can get extended warranty from Samsung Service Center, from SES or purchased separately from Solead, who carry out these warranty repair, from here (https://www.solead.store/collections/hhp-protection-plan), although the Fold 2 is so new, it's not yet listed there. To be safe head to your SES. After reviewing what's covered by these warranty and current one year warranty we have on our Fold 2s, I deduced that it's not worth getting extended warranty, because most the covered under warranty  free-no-charge when replaced are perishables parts like buttons and stuff like that. Anything more you'll have to fork out money. Really poor warranty coverage, you better take care of your Fold 2s. I've no problem with taking care of my stuff, I've had my old phone taken care (with no screen protector and only a slim case, it's been nearly 4 years and it looks new, no scuff, no scratches. I guess it depends on the person. If you're working construction site, just use a Nokia. not Fold, unless you want to constantly worry about your phone.

I managed to fix Civilization VI , now running perfectly in full screen, just had to enable "run app in tablet mode to see more" in "Display" Settings.The reason it was visuals were cut off in previous attempt is due to Civ VI while rotated to landscape to full screen, it was trying to avoid the punchhole camera area, so it cut off a section if the Civ VI resolution running in full screen. Not anymore! 

Samsung Note20 Ultra EPP has 20% discount, RM4159.20. About 1K difference.

Not that I'm currently aware of.  Just install NiceLock and its downloader companion app, and install the Multistar module.  Go into this module, set the ratio of the Insta app to 4:3 and it should expand to fill the entire screen.  If you have the time, do explore the other modules as well, there are a lot of useful features in there.  I'm just shocked that Samsung decided to only limit the Good Lock app to a few select countries 

Saw this gold hinge black body in reddit, the phone looks damn elegant. Too bad we don't get the option to customize ourselves, else I don't mind waiting longer for it.

Weird WiFi placement. After I activated eSIM, the WiFi icon moved to the left of the camera lens. Still lots of space left next to the mobile signal icons. Anyone getting this?

Anyone know how to enable the built in call recording function in Galaxy Z Fold 2?

I used to change to Thai CSC with my Note 9, but this method is not working with the ZF2 anymore.

Any suggestion for prepaid esim that works with fold 2? Preferable the ones that doesn't use Celcom backbone as their network. After the last outage i want to diversify so that i dont lose connectivity whatsoever.

Also preferably, prepaid sim that doesn't require going to a store to set up. I notice, Yoodo and XOX allows esim setup wholly by their apps, but they use Celcom as their backbone network.

Any problem swiping down for notification bar?

Me also just received the cheap cover today. Tried to put on the front cover because I already have the aramid cover on the back.
The profile of the frame is so thick and near the edge of the screen, making swipe-in gesture for BACK literally impossible, either from left or right side. Same goes to the edge panel for multitasks.

As a result, have to give up using this case that makes life more difficult. Now waiting for another case that was recommended in reddit to ship from China. So hard to find a suitable front cover. Samsung really should have made the cover together with the front screen part and not left us with the phone protected half way... 

Not worth the money if one is a careful user. For those "careless" users then maybe worth 

Same like me but I wonder if can add one more telco. Example: Maxis (normal SIM), Celcom (eSIM) and Digi (eSIM)

So this means I can have Maxis, Celcom and Digi all active at the same time based on the configuration I mentioned?
