What's new:
* November security patches (Samsung Android Security Updates)
* Overall stability of functions improved.
* Camera-app updated.
* The security of your device has been improved.

Changelog from xda. Seem like this is just a minor patch. Probably have to wait till Android 11 update for major changes.

After looking at that video, I’m out. The hinge protector section will result in the Fold not laying flat when unfolded. There’s a reason why they demo it with the Fold unfolded facing down.

I’ll ghetto it put with my VRS case carried in the RM50 leather envelope style pouch with magnetic clasps. With the VRS case it’s a nice and snug fit in that leather envelope pouch, naked will result in the Fold bouncing around inside. But that’s after I’ve stretched the envelope pouch by chucking my ZMI USB-C PD power bank in there for a few days to stretch out the leather envelope pouch. Now everything fits just nice.

I finally received my Spigen Tough Armor and get rid of the cheap shoppee hard plastic case. It's so good to have grippy rubber covering the ZF2. Plus this also covers the hinge spine.

I also have the Urban Armour Gear case coming soon. So let's see which one works better

One of the very few reviewer I take his word for. MKBHD? No thanks, I prefer non-Apple shill.

I'm probably biased to Michael Fisher after his "When Phones Were Fun" series on his Youtube channel, his experience there mirrors my own, except that I grew up with Nokia crazily-designed phones like Nokia N91, N93 and N95, while he grew up with his crazily-designed States-side phones like the Sidekick and the Moto Razr. In fact it was my boredom with slab [hones that drew me to the Fold form factor, as we all "Enter Into The Fold". His fondness to Star Trek (old school ones, not the crappy new STD), just like I do, seals the deal for me. Never thought I'd find someone in the same wavelength as I am.

It's just a few mm thicker. ZF2 is quite heavy and will need thicker padding in case of fall. This is a good case for all round protection.

Watched through the part where he mentioned ipad + galaxy phone only cost $1000+, even though samsung threw in some watch and galaxy buds, reminds me about the not-so-useful mont blanc cardholder that got left aside ever since I took it home. This thing can hardly be sold for good value due to the market is flooded with it from many of the phone owners. Although it's kinda free gift for pre-order so we shouldn't complain much, but samsung probably should rethink the options and don't give something that is not so relevant. Replace with an aramid cover of cheaper price also thousand times better than the card holder dry.gif

You gotta understand, he's coming from the American market with no freebies, even the Europeans get free Buds Live and Aramid case free. Considering the freebies we get compared to SG with their higher price and free Watch 3, I think we get a good (relatively) deal. Cardholder I open already, in case of a day out and I go cashless with only cards in that Mont Blanc. Or just use Boost, TnG, GrabPay to pay your stuff. Cash is on its way out..... with all the stimulus money government is handing out, cash is getting more devalued every day. But, that's a whole different talk about investing in "hard"/finite assets that I wont go into. tongue.gif

Peace of mind from a piece of digital certificate. RM600 is decently cheap, before one year is up I may go and send it in for screen replacement for that amount to make the screen feel fresh and new. biggrin.gif

Lots of small print legalese at page 2 and 3 of the certificate, including the fact why I say it's not worth to get extended warranty and how SME define the warranty. Ala carte much,Samsung?  shakehead.gif

guys, where do I register this to get the certificate? I already register my device on samsung website...thanks

Register for screen replacement warranty section in Samsung Members app preinstalled in your Fold 2.

Good Lock module MultiStar has a new update, that allows two apps running in Flex Mode. If an app has Flex Mode, you can either run it in its Flex Mode or override it by running two different apps upon errr Flexing 💪 laugh.gif

Complainers of "how bulky Fold is" here in this forum, will have a field day complaining about the thickness of this thick-boi. They're making the Fold into three-section unfolded so to eliminate the front cover altogether, by EXPOSING 1/3rd of the folded display as the always -on front screen? That's an accident waiting to happen. Protecting your Fold 2 now is already a complicated matter, imagine trying to keep this Fold 3 display from damage when 1/3rd of that folding screen is now permanently exposed as your front always-on screen. I dont know why Samsung wanna include a physical slide-out keyboard to this, making that addition a thicker Fold. Maybe they're trying to reduce user time poking the screen thus reducing damage potential, by moving the typing off to a slide-out keyboard?

All I see a more expensive, more damage-prone Fold. You're already obsessively babying your Fold right now, imagine how mentally pressured you'll be keeping this Fold from damages. More moving part, more points of failure : Engineering 101. The only way I'd be compelled to own this Fold 3 if it comes with no-nonsense one-to-one exchange if damaged insurance policy, no questions asked, and that'll cost money.

One of the reason I gave Fold 2 a chance was how robust the build quality is despite its folding nature (fragile folding display as the only exception). This Fold 3 is unnecessarily complex , adding more unnecessary points of failure. Simple experiment, get a cardboard and keep folding it and see how floppy it'll become as you fold more and then unfold it back to its original shape.

Does the border interrupts edge-swiping on the front screen ?
