Majority of the people i talk to told me that i should not upgrade my halogen into LED in a reflector housing. It will cause massive glare and scatter

I kinda believe them now after changing mine to LED. My stock halogen high beam in the reflector housing looks better than the LED even though it is not that bright but at least the beam pattern is clean and wide
while LED does shoot more high beam range but the light is awful scatter.

Should i get a refund?

Have you tried adjusting the led itself to check the beam pattern and also adjust the light height ?

LED needs to be adjusted lower than halogens.

It won't be perfect but highly depends on what LED's you bought.

Yes..
LED needs LED reflector like most new car eg new myvi, honda city, CRV civic and even HRV from projecter LED change to reflector LED..

As LED use in halogen reflector, sure its not suitable.. i did experience myself, adjust it many times still glares to incoming traffic..

Even the new bezza is LED reflector headlamp..

Photum. Sold by Eagle eyes Malaysia

They did the adjustments but i dont think it help much to be honest... they current glare and scatter massively than my halogen doh.gif . My basic high beam bulb in the reflector housing was a sylvania basic bulb
I was thinking to upgrade to sylvania silverstar ultra but malaysia do not sell them at all. Halogens in Malaysia are so not popular .... But i did purchase osram night breaker laser next generation that only arrive after i installed the LEDs doh.gif..

It does beam further than i expected but in between the lights emitting to the end of the beam range. The whole light looks rubbish as there are so many scatter and mix of dark spots
I felt like there is noting shine some of the parts too

Close distance is acceptable but on a pure dark area with no road lights. I can see the awful scatter and darkspots in between

Photum A3 ? You are using H4 bulb ?
I’m actually interested to buy Photum A3 as based on the video, it seems very powerful and clean beam but it’s on Projector type and not reflector type. After you give such comment, I need to think twice. Btw, what car do you install this Photum ?

If you are looking for H4 LED bulbs, there is now a version that comes with projector focusing element complete in 1 set.

Your current reflector housing is totally not suitable for LED bulbs.

Example:

https://shopee.com.my/2x-New-H4-LED-Bulb-wi...3924.2771691985

Do try these out as I had already installed 2 sets.

Very nice beam and cut off.

Just make sure you get those that the low beam side is fully enclosed as per the above link.
(to avoid glare scatter)

If factory fitted LED reflector like in the new myvi, city etc do comes with manual level adjustment. From level 0-5. Level 0 is the highest and Level 5 is the lowest, almost the light pointing on the road. Normally i set no.2

The problem with LED is that the PCB thickness or in this case, thinness cannot match that of the normal filament

heck the LED module itself is thicker than the filaments used in halogen lamp

so the light source of LED is already a few degree off compared to the filaments
so the angle plates inside normal reflector halogen light is not suited to reflect LED light properly

Yes A3 but mine is HB3. Its a high beam bulb socket in a reflector housing

Better think twice because just go and ask a refund. They have 7 Days Testing, No Satisfaction Performance Money Back Guarantee

but gave me Completely rubbish excuse now. They expect me to include evidence that the lights do not perform well... How am i suppose to do that? Take photos videos? Even i use a 4k video recorder cannot even record the dark spots doh.gif

Not Satisfaction is my problem and now still need to provide proof mad.gif vmad.gif

Its not cheap too. RM 400 with only 1 year warranty... China stuff not japan or even local. They say #1 Malaysia brand is so fake

That is the price of a Japan rated bulbs like PIAA already. I make a stupid mistake that i gonna regret for the year

The best bulb for a HB3 headlamp is a HIR1 bulb.
