im having problem removing the stock cooler of my gpu. ive unscrewed all 4 screws at the back and tried to pull it out, but it seems like it is still attached very tightly to it. any1 can help? noob here, nvr remove any hsf b4

could you post a picture of the VGA on its backside? then we can see the screws(there could be more than four maybe?)
maybe some 7900GT owners can help u out here
the reason why its hard is because the thermal paste might be on too tight
maybe try giving it a twist

ok ill take a pic later. i couldnt even twist it. im afraid of pulling it off with force will damage it.
btw its a eVGA 7900GT KO. anyone using same card here?


Added on July 23, 2007, 9:50 pmwoot problem solved. the thermal paste was stuck. used a screw driver to lift the hs.
