Hi guys, I'm in the midst of kitchen renovation, my reno guy suggest I take 32.5 inches for kitchen base unit height, will it be to high for the sink table top? As my sink is 8 inches deep, afraid that it might hurt my back if I had to bend and wash dishes.π

standard height is only a reference. the purpose of renovation and custom-made furniture is to design an ergonomic environment suited to the user(s) in each space. go ahead and specify your heights and other dimensions. in the end it is you who use the space and interact with the furniture, not the contractor nor the 'standard human diagram'.

The lower cooking area is good when you have to use big wok and do a lot of stir fry, lower height make you easier to lift the wok or cooking for a long time without lifting your hand at uncomfortable position, if you pay attention to restaurant kitchen their wok is at their hip area or slightly above You can Google for standard height, and standard height is suitable for majority of adult heights

Ideally, if your house design/layout can fit, the stove should be slightly lowered, as this is more ergonomic when cooking. If you notice, most commercial kitchen has a lower stove counter.
Other considerations, is enough height to fit dishwasher.
A few cm in height can make a big difference after few years, especially if you cooks a lot.

Thx guys for the suggestion. In the end decide to do 34" for sink area 32" for cooking area (L shape kitchen), but due to MCO all stuck haven't done yet.
Contractor keep saying will look ugly, don't know if is it his skill tak boleh or the outcomes really will look horrible.
Anyone with this kind of different height kitchen mind share some images? π
