It should be the battery, since thats what most likely would affect the amount of output produced. But since you changed it and the problem still persists, i'm not too sure. Maybe you have loose wiring or something.

Or you could sue them for false claims and get around RM25k. Imagine the basses you could buy with that amount of cash...
