these basses with preamp.
lets say if the batt/preamp is dead, you can still play it without having the preamp right?
or does that only apply to certain preamps that can be bypassed?

and yea, sounds like your preamp has a prob.

which store did you buy it from? if they claimed they fix the prob and its still there.
i would demand to see their manager and get a full refund.

no laaaa..not that serious... its not like its their fault... i edi tried the bass before buying it.... no prob... and again yesterday before i walk off their store...

cash converters has a 30day warranty on their electrical items, this includes guitars.
to fix the preamp no idea.
your other choice would be to get someone to rewire it so the preamp isnt used at all.
