Which Harvey Norman?

Hi guys, I just placed an order for a unit of 65" Sony A8H and has requested for wall mount and installation.

They told me the wall mount bracket will be the 'universal' type. Does it mean it will NOT be a full motion wall mount?

If they give u free wall mount dont think its gonna be full motion one..

Saw on Sony website got new X80AJ model for 65in.

Would you guys go for this over the 90 series?

The rrp of rm4299 is tempting.

Only use the tv for Astro and nothing else LOL.

Do u watch hdr content?

dono what different between x80j and x80aj. but its still obviously one level lower than x90. ie full array led, hdmi2.1, etc

Only have Astro 4k box.
That's it.

At most Netflix later on.

X80AJ is the more affordable variant of X80J .

It doesn't has any motion compensation system . Not that the X80J has much either since they are both based on 60hz , which means good luck dealing with 5:5 pull down on broadcast TV shows and movies .

Do read 2-4 pages back on the comparison X80 and X90.

Personally would recommend to go with X90H. If Im not mistaken, its about 5.6K now for 65in or maybe lower

Is X80AJ still IPS like X80H?

Yes , mostly.

Except for the 80" ++ because they don't make commercial IPS for screens larger than 75" ++ .

55" X90J price in USA is USD1499 and 55" X90H was USD999.

Really curious to see how much is the X90J in MY.

So they are not gonna drop the price of older X90H but increase the price of X90J instead?

Lets hope it follows China pricing where it's only 1000 Yuan or about RM630 more expensive than X90H

55" X90H RRP was RM4299 so can expect X90J will be higher (if we assume same with USA pricing).
But actual market price already lower than RRP for X90H.
After X90J released maybe will drop little more.

That's nice if it is just RM630 more.

In US, there is a 50" X90J for USD1299 (~RM5.3k). Still more expensive than the previous 55" X90H MY RM4299 rrp.

Not too sure. Sifu Convael would have more info. Merchants are clearing stocks anyways. 55" X90H is a bit hard to find already.
