i've got a crack on my windscreen coz hit by a rock while i'm driving 60-70km/s
the crack is on the outer later of the windscreen and with a hole about diameter 2-3mm x 1mm depth
the crack is about 1-2 centimeters in diameter

how much to replace them?
and will the windscreen treatment work for such a crack? (chemical treatment)

cost of repair around rm50(the chemical stuffs) and faster rather than replacing whole screen... longer time taken and costly...

The hole seems ok but the crack looks big. Still usable but from my past experience, the crack can suddenly 'manifest' itself to a large one and the whole screen just shatters. Bad luck I must say

do u cover yr windscreen in the insurance?

if got windscreen insurance just claim it.. mine in the process of doing it. A new UMW Toyota Vios windscreen cost around 1K+ (double layer)

yeah2...proton windscreen cost around 600-700. I dont think toyota less than tht.

Then there is nothing much you can do. You can go to places like Chipsaway to repair the crack but they cannot repair the stone chip. The crack will not be visible if you repair it soon before dirt gets into it. The repair will prevent the crack from grown bigger. However, the stone chip mark will be visible.

there is a shop in paramount...recommended...good workmanship and not expensive....it is located next to the Montana Tailor shop, in front of the KFC

You can search online for Chipaway, or even in FnF for their address. I've put it up many times. It's located near the Toyota Showroom in Section 19 PJ.

Double layer windscreen... it's about RM500-RM600

I got mine done by Glass Doctors. Matt is the only certified windscreen repair engineer in malaysia. They gave me lifetime warranty which was great. www.glassdoct.com. i think his hp is 012-2087979.
