Hello. Well, my wife and I will be attending our favorite niece’s traditional English wedding in July. It’ll be held at one of the old country manors outside of Manchester/Liverpool area, and she has asked if I could play the piano at her wedding.
She grew up listening to my piano playing whilst we were in Malaysia, and it would be memorable if I could churn out a couple of appropriate tunes for her wedding.
I was thinking of the usual culprits - “Can’t help falling in love” (as popularized in Crazy Rich Asians), “A Thousand Years” (from that gawdawful Twillight sappy saga: quiet apt for my niece’s hubby to be, since she made him wait nearly 10 years!) and Ed Sheeren’s “Perfect”. These will be my own arrangements since I can’t read a single note to save my life - but, who the hell cares, it’s something meaningful that I’m privileged to be asked to do for my niece.
Would like to canvass your opinions and suggestions for any other appropriate songs to be played at weddings?
Many thanks in advance,

Not sure if he’s from my niece’s era though.

Whatever it is, dont play sad, heartbroken songs at weddings. 🤣 I was about to suggest November Rain but then the song was about unrequited love so that's out. This may gives you some ideas. https://www.flowkey.com/en/piano-songs-for-weddings
