I m driving toyota vios NCP 93 year 2008 (12 years) with a mileage of 160,000km. Need the sifu's help on absorber components. When driving through bumper, will have this "nyek nyek" sound. Found out need to replace front absorber. Found out that there is lots of absorber components
My rear absorber just change to APM gas absorber (only absorber). For the front part, what are the componets that i need to buy when replacing front absorber?
1. Front 1 pair absorber (already bought kayaba)
2. Absorber Mounting (come with bearing?)
3. Absorber bearing
4. Absorber cover
5. Absorber bush (same as absorber cover?)
6. stabilizer link (will get 555 brand)
7. absorber cap
for the rear part, anything else need to change? cz last time change only the absorber.
slow pickup its normal, due to carbon buildup for 12 years. and i think you should be using semi synthetic engine oil, which is thicker and should be protecting some engine oil leaks.. or mayb you can check the o2 sensors or clean the throttle body might improve the pickup. My rear absorber just change to APM gas absorber (only absorber). nyek nyek sound is very headache because you wont know where it comes from.
busings or absorber, you wont know, thats why alot of mech just change the whole set together.
front absorber mounting i think kyb also sell in set together with the absorber.
and also change the stablizer bushing, one of the nyek sound causes.
