That has been made known in this forum since first post which I've edited out to better reflect the incidents taking place in Penang. Previously this thread was solely about the Motorola case.

Work from home: Two MNC factories closed in precaution over Covid-19 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « GEORGE TOWN: Several thousand factory workers in Penang have been ordered to work from home, after one of them was found to have been in close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 patient.
Keysight Technologies and Agilent Technologies, who have a total of 6,000 workers, told their staff to leave the company grounds by 7pm on Wednesday (March 12).
The factories are located next to each other and share the same in-house F&B facility.
"It has come to our attention that an employee could possibly have been exposed to Covid-19. The employee has not shown any flu-like symptoms.
"While the site is not under any serious threat, the management with an abundance of caution, has decided to take proactive action to safeguard the health of all our employees," the management of Keysight Technologies wrote to its workforce in an email.
Copies of the email has been spreading on social media.
The company declared that all employees must work from home starting from Thursday (March 12) until further notice while the factories are being sanitised.
It asked employees to stand by for updates by Sunday (March 15).
"We realise the disruption that this causes to your work plans, but as always, the health and safety of our employees and their families is paramount," the management added.
A check on the factory grounds on Thursday morning showed that the spacious car park area nearly to be devoid of cars as the security guards at the gates confirmed the closure. Source: https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2020...n-over-covid-19

QUOTE(bereev @ Mar 12 2020, 04:22 PM) why penang ppl sapu toilet paper ? This is actually a very interesting question. Not only in Penang but in several other cities around the world. If u google and read the articles, u can almost laugh... but it does make some sense. Briefly, it is due to the item very sensitive to supply/demand becos it is bulky... And human psychology feeling good about stocking things.

I did ordered a box surgical but recently I ordered some bike gloves for 1 hand for touching anything in public I will spray alcohol on it when I get to my car or return home. My main issue right now is I can't find any pharmacy selling 3py mask in Penang Island. This post has been edited by KopiChia: Mar 13 2020, 02:36 AM

However at RM8 per pc, it is going to rack up a huge bill if you change the mask every hour or after every sneeze. The other alternative is to make your own.

If you're sure of your claim, why the need to hide the name of said supermarket?

QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Mar 13 2020, 10:10 AM) guys, it is still safe to tour around Penang? Pretty sure the term "safe" is subjective to everyone. Ask a hawker & he'll say "why not?" Anyway, looking at statistics, there are only 1 positive case in Penang thus far so take that however you want.

QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Mar 13 2020, 10:10 AM) guys, it is still safe to tour around Penang? Given the current situation especially with the unknown spread of the tabligh incident (we don't know where the 5k people went), I would rather stay at home for this whole month and possibly april. It's time to act like Wuhan now. We need to flatten the curve. Our healthcare services are not meant to handle this many cases at once, even if private hospitals are also fully utilized.
