Think Oliver is more expensive than Jaya & Village. Only been to BIG once or twice. Cold storage doesn't seem to be doing well. Not sure if it's the way the fresh produces are arranged, but never looked appealing. The branch at Jaya One has closed down as well.

I do most of my shopping at Jaya Grocer. Think has a better selection of local and foreign produce that I use.

BIG depends on location. Publika outlet has many grocery choices compared to like DC mall or GLO damansara which is a bit more quiet and lesser traffic. Hence, they don’t stock up.

Another one of my fav is D’Market. Because it’s errrr close to my place tongue.gif

I used to like going to Jason's then it got taken over by Jaya Grocer. Absolute pity.

I normally do my shopping at BIG @ Publika / IPC or Village Grocers at Atria.

The rest I don't particularly care for them as many of the BIGs don't carry a full range and their butcher and fish monger section are kind of crappy.

Village Grocers, not all of them are created equal, I only go to the one in Atria as the freshness is better and you can buy anti-biotic free chicken that doesn't stink when you cook it. The rest seem to be a hit and miss.

Many of those mentioned like Jaya Grocer, Cold Storage not really premium.

My favorite is Isetan. Lot 10 Isetan often have new latest trend of food, pastries from overseas.
In KLCC, have offerings of new types of food in their kiosks every week or fortnight. smile.gif

I made the mistake of cooking the whole box at once. Now I know better. tongue.gif
Still kinda yummy if you sandwich the reheated leftovers between two really crispy pieces of bread.

one downside about sam's is that they dont sell wine and pork products are absent. not that it's the benchmark to have pork, but it's good to have a full range of products for wide base of shoppers.

Village Grocer or Jaya Grocer also good...

But then depends on location. So far, Village Grocer is good for me as its nearer to my house and their fruits, vege, and meat section really fresh... I like how they frequently replenish their stock. Their rack is almost always full and they look so well organize and yummy. Unlike Tesco, if u go at 6pm, their rack is almost empty kena sapu and no replenish until tmr.. doh.gif
