Wanted to check if my plan's ok

Rm300
Life 100k
CI (early) 100k
CI (late) 100k
Med 150
Waiver

(Sustain 30-34 years)

29y/o, this looks ok?
*
If 100k for each event is sufficient to take care of you, looks oaky. if you'd opt for deductible for your medical card, it'll definitely bring down the premium further or get more coverage within the Life / CI.

Looks pretty standard, albeit the sustainability is a little short, you may choose to revise it in the future by topping up to increase the sustainability.

Hi,

Which life insurance is good in 2021? I plan to buy online on their website.
*
You can browse their website individually and see which suits you. The insurance company have made it easy for you to go to their website to choose the plans

Does MyCTF claim for covid-19 test (first time) is still accepting claim?

Does individual with life insurance able to enjoy this benefit?

How high the possible to get claim if having medical and CI insurance with complete document for submission?
*
Medical insurance policyholders and takaful certificate holders may apply for reimbursement up to a maximum of RM300 for COVID-19 testing (one reimbursement per individual) to maximize the number of tests that can be supported by the CTF.

Requirements & Eligibility
Insurance policyholders and takaful participants with group/individual medical and health insurance policies and takaful certificates who undergo COVID-19 tests at recognised private labs listed on MoH's COVID-19 website.
The CTF reimbursement is limited to one test per policy/certificate holder only and the reimbursement period is valid until 30 June 2021 or earlier, if the fund is fully utilized.

Thanks for your reply.

I saw this in the website too.

Does the medical and health insurance including life insurance?

As the available fund is not available to know by public and the processing time as stated in the website is 14days, then how high possible does people (starting in this year) can claim through this campaign if they have fulfill all the requirements?
*
Life insurance with attached medical rider.

First come first serve basis. You want then you need to queue now.

My father life insurance is having CI with it. He has claimed for CI before so now left the benefit payout if he survive more than 30days then the insurance company will pay 25% of the initial sum insured to the beneficiary when claim death benefit (touch wood).

When I see his online statement it is stated as life insurance. So, having this insurance allow my father to qualify to join this covid-19 claim?

However, you can call in to MOH to further clarify if this include CI because the wording above shows for health insurance.

Not too bad actually for the offer.

Just hopefully the portfolio doesn't have high claim volume otherwise the revision is definitely gonna sky rocket the premium than their normal plan.

Thanks for the explanation. I had checked the the policy and it's indeed matured at 87 yo. Shall heed your advice and keep it for longer possible. Meanwhile, I have another policy from GE, supposing to only pay 14/15 years and thereafter the cash bonus generated would be able to pay off the premium? However, an agent told me to continue paying premium as the bonus generated may not able to pay of premium after few years? Also should i surrender this policy, how much would i get back the money? Already pay for 20 yo. The return seem not impressive

GE Supreme Living Care

Net Surrender Value : 21,239.96
Cash Bonus Balance: 12,849.52

Annual Premium: 1,457.00
*
The reason ppl bought GE Supreme Living Care back then was because they either don't like the risk involved with ILP on the fund performance / cash value return but wanted something that is guaranteed in premium + an average protection value.

If your sole purpose was for "returns" then I'm afraid the plan doesn't serve your purpose.

Yes, i am aware about this. that why i wonder what is the beauty of PA buddle with Motor insurance.
I could see the only benefits is unlimited towing
*
The insurance company tries to bundle it to bring more value to you as a package.

That being said, standalone PA plans are more comprehensive depending on what kind of benefit you're looking for in the a event of an accident.

Some may extend coverage for Dengue as well.

What AIA is doing is merely a marketing gimmick. Inside your policy it will state hospitalisation benefits. For example if you go to government you get for example rm60/day allowance. Or if you go to private hosp you get rm200 allowance. Now they just turn it around and say you get covid coverage. It’s a pay and claim basis coverage and SUBJECT to “reasonable and customary charges”. So if your bill is rm40k for instance but what is considered reasonable and subject to customary charges is only rm2k for example. So the other rm38k come out from own pocket la.

Always know what your financial rights are. Have an awareness of the timebombs in your policy.
*
Your scenario is alittle extreme.

The purpose of the reasonable and customary charges is so that the insurance company are not overcharged compared to the industry standard.

Example, a cost for surgery is average 10k to 20k but your doctor decides to charge 30k. Then the insurance company will definitely question.

Some doctors are even blacklisted by insurance company that they will not pay more than x amount if done by this doctor because of history of overcharging.

Your post is definitely not helpful but cause more unnecessary confusion and panic.

The hidden T&C is whereby, you sell your data to the insurance company/agent who register for you in return, they will solicit business from you after acquiring the data.

Unless your sole purpose is just to get the "freebie" from the insurance company without the agent blabbering anything to you, you can sternly tell them upfront not to waste their time if they're "helping" you.

My sister also just got it yesterday, but I got mine since last Nov/Dec.

This is not the first time it got revised. I received such letter every few years. Only this time, they increased the premium without adjustment to the lifetime limit.  sad.gif

Policy benefit does not change when they ask you to increase your premium.

The additional premium is to maintain your original policy term of coverage without altering your policy benefit.

Isn't this just hospitalisation benefit at the end of the day? So if the government refer you to private hospital because of COVID then only you can claim this hospitalisation allowance for up to rm6k max 30 days which is the rm200/day allowance. It is a product that has existed before covid but now it's being sold as to cover ur covid expenses. I du lan a bit cos that day the agent hard sell to me like crazy but when i ask him if i suffer from complications end of the day capping limit only 6k right. then he cannot answer. so yeah..
*
The circular is quite clear in explaining that AIA is covering the entire hospitalization caused by Covid-19, just on pay and reimburse basis. Which part is not clear ?

Hi.

Anyone mind to share why do you still buying Prudential despite their plan for hospitalisation is deductible (RM300).

I am planning to buy Allianz Power Link with PayorCover and MediSafe Infinite+. Sustainability until 70.

Is Allianz easy to claim? and recommended?

Thanks
*
I would since the 300 deductible is not much compared to the cheaper cost of insurance that in paying in the long term especially when you don't claim.

As for Allianz. Their claims are quite okay so far. Cover is comprehensive albeit slightly more pricier than the other companies.
