Features ok but Sony is hands down winner. Nothing comes close to the sound quality.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless (1) is the best one I have heard, the second version is with ANC and better battery life!

Was thinking to get the sennheiser momentum true wireless 2 but saw some reviews that the 1st gen sound better than 2nd gen. 🤔🤔

hello sifu,

I am planning to buy first wireless earbud to my wife as anniversary gift next month. I am aiming for Samsung Galaxy Buds+ because it meet my budget. I never tried it before because none of my friends using it (even the old galaxy buds). I went to Samsung Store but there is no display set for me to try due to hygiene purpose.

My question is, my wife wears tudung (hijab). Is she able to use the touch control of the earbuds from outside of her tudung? Or she need to slip her finger inside her tudung in order to use the touch control.

by the way kain tudung is not that tebal. Only normal kain tudung.

Need advice from expert here or someone who already use it. smile.gif

I'm not sure about how touch sensitive will respond outside of tudung, but you can always control it on the phone. while kat rumah, baru guna touch sensitive tu. nod.gif

Just got the mtw 2 last week . I think it’s great . I can hear more detail than before but bass kinda not enough need some eq tuning in the app . Surprisingly transparency mode is working very well I set it to 1 tap activate mode So I don’t have to take off my earbud now to listen to what others is saying . Pairing it with my Sony zx507. I think I need to buy a truegrip pro thou The tip that comes with it doesn’t really fit my ears . biggrin.gif Overall I’m very satisfied with this purchase . Bought on Shopee for rm 1350

No idea. But it's worth it. Other countries maybe expensive. Malaysia cheaper. Love sony products. Just hoping they make a ANC buds with waterproof features for gym.

I'm considering SP800N, more for sport. Official price around $850, not sure if those $6xx and $7xx shopee/lazada listings are trustable. Read few reviews sometimes back saying that WF-1000MX3's ANC and music quality is better than SP800N but only by small margin, need to pay close attention to appreciate the difference.

However, I wonder if SP800N is too much for my needs. Is there any cheaper alternative that provides:
- great ANC: for gym and commuting
- water proof/resistant: handle sweat
- fairly good voice call quality
- music quality: similar to old iPhone's free earphone is enough for me. For intensive music, prefer headphone instead.

The Galaxy buds+ is indeed very attractive, I would give it a strong consideration if I'm buying one without noise cancelling feature.

Talking about ANC, I find it annoying when reading reviews. For the same product, there can be totally opposite views among reviewers. Take WF-1000MX3 and SP800N as example, some rate them as effective but there are also reports that they can't block much noise thus not so useful. So confusing rclxub.gif

BTW, few posts in March seem suggested that some retailers dropped the price for WF-1000MX3 to $600-$650. Does anyone know which retailers are those? If that holds true, I wonder if they also drop the price for SP800N tongue.gif

Sound = 4 stars. Well balanced bass and treble.
Mic = 4 stars. Crisp and clear (quiet room). Hear-able (noisy and windy environment) provided need to raise our voice by 50%.
ANC = 4 stars. Reduce about 75% of human voice and ambient musics in shopping mall.
Fit & seal = 3 stars. Ear-tips is slippery when sweating. Need to get custom tips.
Comfort = 4 stars. Can wear up to 2 hour2.
Battery = 3 stars. 30 minutes with ANC will consume 10% energy.
Apps support = 3 stars. e-Manual in Chinese. Driver and firmware is not upgradable. No EQs.
Touch control = 3 stars. Not editable and no volume adjustment.
Connection stability = 4 stars. Within 10 meters range. But re-connection takes about 10 seconds.

Conclusion : Bought during 5.5 Laz Sales @ RM269. This is a good overall performance especially the ANC and microphone quality.

ANC = 4 stars. Reduce about 75% of human voice and ambient music in shopping mall.
Fit & seal = 4 stars. Ear-tips is slippery when sweating. Need to get custom ear-gel.
Comfort = 4 stars. Can wear up to 2 hours.
Battery = 4 stars. 30 minutes with ANC will consume 7% energy.
Apps support = 5 stars. Firmware is upgradable OTA. Supports EQs.
Touch control = 5 stars. Super-customisable. No more mis-touch due to sensitive sensors.
Connection stability = 4 stars. Within 10 meters range. But re-connection takes about 5 seconds.
Latency = 4 stars. Hardly see obvious latency visually.
Multipoint connection = Works with Windows and Android OS simultaneously. This is the main selling point.

Conclusion : Bought during 5.5 Shopee Sales @ RM606. For that price, the Jabra Elite 85t is a good for overall performance especially the ANC and the microphone quality. About 25% better than the Edifier NB2 Pro.

This wireless iem adaptor is like a unicorn to find. No stock everywhere i've been keeping eyes on it since the past 2-3 months, finally yesterday saw one seller got stock straight away buy

Paired with my long neglected Westone WD40.. its a shame that most devices nowadays ditched earphone jack.. finally now at least can enjoy iem again.. now time to ditch my airpods
