This new D06 is replacing D05....quite a new tyres, havent see the review yet through Googles...195 55 15 was offered at RM125 to RM145 per piece...
Used to have D05 and quite reasonable performance for small sedan and hatchback during wet and dry performance.

Anybody have experience using D06? Care to share the experience?

I’m on 195/50/R15 and it’s becoming more difficult to source for all-rounder performance tires in this size. At the moment I’m using Hankook V12evo2 but sadly it will be discontinued.

I’m looking at those with price of about RM150 per piece.

So far under my shortlist is Kumho PS31 and this new Dunlop D06. Any thoughts?

I'm a loyal Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 user myself for all my cars. Unfortunately, Hankook decided to stop producing this model for sizes 17" & below hence the replacement, the Ventus Prime 3 which is made in Indonesia! Can't even find the treadwear reading on the tyres at all!

FYI, V12 Evo2 already discontinued for sizes 17" & below.
As for all rounder tyres, perhaps u could give the Yokohama ES32 made in Japan a try? RM140 each on what I've came across recently by my staff.

I never read anything good about PS31. Better try that new D06 or Toyo TR1, or even the Prime 3 than PS31.

Prime 3 is actually not true replacement of V12E2. That's just what marketing people want customers to believe. Prime 3 is still a touring tire category, not UHP like V12E2, even though it might be pretty decent.

That's a pity. This means no real proven UHP below rm180 for 15'. Options now only TR1, V701, RE003, F1D5, PS3, and the new RE004.

Such a pity that the V12E2 is gone. Out of the options you have listed, would you say PS3 is still the best overall choice?

Since RE004 is just released and no review yet, then yes PS3 is at this moment still the best. My guess is RE004 will be much better in the dry but unsure if the improvement in the wet will finally match PS3. I doubt it will but hopefully it will come close enough, then it will be a good choice. Then slightly below PS3 will be F1D5 but this tire not so common to find now.

1 of my dad original Persona 19 tyre got sidewall damage
so as a good son I change all 4 tyres to Dunlop D06 195/55/15 at UTS Batu 3 Kuantan

Got RM138 per donut including workmanship

first impression is, heck the tyre is more quieter then the Silverstone Kruizer1 185/55/15
but.. all tyre pun quieter then the Kruizer

will take sometime to get used to this, but I don't think that it is much different from D05 (my current car uses this)

D06 all round tyre, should very safe to change.

Any updates on the D06 tyre? It's price to features ratio look attractive considering the formulation and development is under Continental Malaysia

I'm looking at changing my persona tyres to D06 too as so far price seems to be still reasonable at RM149 for 185/55R15. Hopefully someone can review it before i take the plunge.

Old tyres were stock lousy silverstone kruzer tyres. Only can last 50k km. Noisy and slippery when wet.

Update : Changed 4 pcs Dunlop D06 for RM140/pc.

Quick review : Immediately can feel the difference compared to my original Silverstone Kruzer tyres in terms of NVH. Much more quieter and comfortable ride overall. No chance to test on wet road yet and no comments on the grip as I don't take fast corners.

Got 4 pcs for my MyVi 185/55/15 at RM165/donut

First impressions is they do sound quieter from the standard Ecopia 150 and J6. Could be the tyre is still new but it is what it is.

I think they feel quite similar maybe D06 is a bit quieter. Can't comment on wet grip since it's been sunny for quite some time now.

Just got 4pcs 215/50R17.

Coming from 4 year old PS4 with severe dry rot problem, the D06 is worlds apart in comfort and noise levels. I no longer get that jarring feeling when hitting potholes and my car interior doesn't vibrate and rattle on rough surfaces. Overall road/tire noise is greatly reduced.

Dry grip looks ok. Haven't had the chance to test it in the wet yet.

Would like to share some of my user experience on Dunlop D06.

Initially was planning to get D05 and to my surprise there's a newer revision, D06 was out in the market even their website was not updated back then.
Got it changed immediately and I'm happy with its performance.

No issue on WET & DRY condition, performance was up to my taste.
Take corner wells, comfortable and confidence high speed driving.
And in raining day, it performs very well even driving across a puddle of water wasn't an issue.

When the treadwear coming to an end, it still performs very well especially on wet roads.
Not at its initial best but still grip/hold safely for you.

All good things will come to an end and got it changed last week as it had hit the wear indicator, usage at 50,023KM (23months).
I have zero issue with this tire, no puncture or uneven wear and no sidewall peeling.

I can said that it's worth every penny considering it's a budget range tire, recommended tire thumbsup.gif
Noise and comfort are subjective, I find it okay (quiet than PS3 tongue.gif )

Ya, price has increased within 2 years time.
I got mine at RM290/donut (JB) at the same shop I bought previously.

Not just D06, all tire price has their price increased from what I'm told.

PS3 now expensive, anyone mind sharing latest price? 195/50 OR 205/50 < can't rmmbr exact size haha..

right now using PS3 front and PS31 on rear, was thinking to buy new for front ( swap PS3 to rear )... so either another set of PS3 or RE004... so mix RE004 n PS3.

i dont really care about noise..

IF it's really hard to find OK ps3 price for 15, might as well go with RE004

I surveyed yesterday(Seremban), D06 RM285 - RM320. PS4 RM480.
Size 205/55/16.

Kaw kaw price up.

Which shop in Seremban? That is my car tyre size. Now don't know price go up by how much. If people can't afford good tyres, the might buy unbranded ones & risk their life.

Hi, I am using the Dunlop D05 Tyre 195/50/15 manufactured in 44th week 2019 year, for around 2 years with 25,000km. So far, the handling and cornering still good to be control. The noise level still can be acceptable, also depends on the road condition. It may I have shared some pictures which the Tyre seems hardened if no mistaken. Should I replace them immediately or can be wait? The "Sun & Rain indicator" still can be seen clearly, and the thread depth considered ok. Usually, I parked at open air residence roadside, therefore the rubber seems aging faster, because I drive around 15km - 20km per day.

If do so, I will consider changing Dunlop D06 Tyre as I am satisfied with its predecessor D05 wet & handling performance, especially cornering. The price I survey in Melaka costs around RM185 - RM205 per pc, including balancing, alignment and rubber valves.

still am, already on my second cycle of this tyres and they haven't disappointed me yet (other than getting punctured sometimes from nails at my work site whistling.gif ).

Looking to replace 2 tyres before CNY and price on Shopee looks appealing atm for 185 55 15 at MYR186 (after discounts).
