We've never had any problems with the top teams as we've always sat back and hit them on the counter. It's the lower teams that we've not had any clue on how to open them up.
Consistency is another issue and thank god for VAR.
Pressing last night has improved from before.
Unbeaten run continues. Whether ole stays or remains hinges on top 4. Last night was good individual performances vs below par from city. Their finishing was horrendous, while ours was fantastic and Scotts instinct was great.
i think with bruno... and coming back pogba... we should able to gone through the weaker teams unscathed... plus the defense also improved compared to first half of the season... i think the loss at burnley has caused some players days in the club numbered as well... lol... in the end it could be both chelsea and man utd in top 4 but leicester dropped out of it... their forms recently hot and cold like spurs...
We had good wingback performances last night. Mid was flawless. Attack was meh.. Ole's tactics was an oldie last night. It worked because of city's ego on always on possession and high defensive line. Our game throughout was 10 man behind the ball and hit on the counter.
We need a player in the mould of either chicharito, Rooney or tevez up top. Those whom can make intelligent runs.
2 pure wings, so that we can fly. DJ just fluttering right now. Needs more experienced.
Pogba replacement.
Modern manager should ole be blowing hot and cold.
And can anyone explain how is grealish that great? I can't see him being a 50m player. His impact is not there at all. Maybe championship level like DJ at this moment.
this coming season RM going to splash lesser money due to FFP, 2018 sold off Ronaldo with high price, 19/20 spend a lot, this upcoming season i think they going to tone down due to FFP regulation. I believe Solskjaer will start him on LASK match and rotate him with Martial.
RM won't have much issue with FFP lo. Their TV revenue is crazy... Revenue from merch, sponsors, sales, competitions.. If got issue also played up by media..
Technically a fans owned club, perez is also a fan, all support the club and are transparent in their dealings.
RM splash 200mil Euro on 19/20, how much can they spend on 20/21 summer market?
if i'm not mistaken the last period for FFP compliance is year 2019/2020 so it next compliance is 3 seasons later. So kinda reset. I've read the FFP and it's bloody confusing. They can spend billions for next season and just need to balance the books within 3 season period and also they can declare about 50m loss per year provided owners pump in equity of about the same when balancing the books.
very complicated rules, layman term is first year if losses, next 2 year must account profit to balance the book.
So nowadays transfer deal include payment in few years, in order to spread out the amortization cost.
So in short, RM can spend alot again next season. So can we actually, but looking at our owners, their directors fee will again dominate the pool of funds.
Sources say that BPL would be cut short and the table will remain as it is as final standing for the season with no trophy presentation or celebrations for the leaders instead of abandoning the season because of fear of riots.
Knowing fans of that club they rather the earth burn than to not have the trophy this year. Always the victim.
I don't think they would want to void the season altogether. The possible consequences from that is just too much of a risk and no, I am not talking about Liverpool who deserved the league title regardless rival or not. Imagine those involves in UCL qualification spots / those in relegation or promotion. Do you think they will just let it go as per mentioned below?
IF, Euro 2020 is postponed then it will give a window/gap for league matches to be postponed and play at a later time. Plus 4 leagues already suspended their matches (link) so won't be surprise if BPL following the same.
Only concerns are:
- if league suspension, it will cause a domino effect on the next few season(s) since the start will also be delayed and it will keep snowballing - if resume behind closed door, smaller clubs will struggle with the stopping of match revenues https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51867854
the govt over there are dragging their feet. If they announce to suspend all public events then there won't be any legal implications as the PL is just following govt directive. Just stop the damned league and take the points as is to satisfy the victim club so they won't complain. Human lives are more important than a damned trophy. Whats the point of UEFA if parts of europe is wiped out.
His contract should be extended by 2 years instead of just activating his current clause in contract. He has proven himself well this season when given the chances.
Ole is obsessed in becoming Sir Alex 2.0, english core and 1 superstar. The situation is like when real madrid bought galacticos, its not the tactics that matter, its the players.
