Maybe they are trying to clear the iPod Nanos, with the rumored new Nanos coming so soon.

Hrm, Apple is having a press conference for next Tuesday, maybe to lease the new iMacs?

And how does this relate to the PC Fair Promotion?

I disagree.

Mac retailers here tend to keep a very small inventory. Most of the time you'll need to order the machine and wait around a week for delivery. They then order it from Apple Singapore who in turn order it from Taiwan. Since Build-To-Order Macs take only about a week longer, I'd assume that there are very few stocks to clear whenever a new model comes out.

In any case; the promos are usually by Apple Malaysia rather than the resellers; old stocks are hardly an issue as they play an adminstrative role rather than act as a distributor. To clarify; Apple Malaysia does not operate to distribute stocks to Apple Resellers; They determine pricing and run promos. Stock comes out of Singapore.

At least that's what I understand. Jeyadev (Xaw****) would certainly know more as the resident Mac professional on this board.

We understand the P&C side of it, perhaps you could just "mention" what to look forward to, what are the items we should wait for and what not need to wait, we dont need the details

Anyway just asking, bet most of here wants to know what to look forward to this PC Fair. And my guess is most of us here dont really "need" any of these stuff, just looking for somewhere to spend some $$$

sorry to confuse you, but when i meant spamming, i meant it figuratively....

the only way to look forward to is to be patient and wait out for that pc-fair deal.... it's just less than 12 hours away so to speak.... there'll be plenty of booths for you to spend your $$, Apple-related ones are just a fraction of them. And if you don't mind, you can spend on me.
